I really love the second filter technique for those breakdowns with no beat in order to not loose energy on the dancefloor..
I myself have seen that on my partners gigs every single time..

the biggest problem i have as a 1/10 beginner is , how do i know how many "bars beats" are left to the drop ? is it just experience?
