12 yrs later and I'd like to say Thank you. Been about 20 years since I last flew (poorly) an RC helicopter. I could tail in hover but not much else. Electric helis have come a very long way since the little Dragonfly helis back then.
I've been doing your drills with my hovering on a sim and picked it up back again. Rusty...but then again I stopped with helis because I sucked and there was no panic button (Auto stabilization or even GPS like drones) like there is now.
Sure helps if you use the same TX on your sim that you'll fly with. My sim time has been substantial and my confidence is really growing. I can do circuits, hover inverted and basic aerobatics but as long as the fundamentals are there... that's what counts.
Thank you again for your tips Freddy..Know that it's VERY appreciated.
Hello , I'm new to Helicopters . I have a 450 SE . My question is the top or large gear spins as it should but the smaller bottom gear witch is the main drive gear doesn't spin at all . Have I forgot part of the Radio commands?. Thanks , Bobby M.
ОтветитьAwesome Freddy , getting my 50 size heli setup by a mate of mine, looking forward to practice some hovers after watch your video, you are one of the best Rc heli instructors for sure👌
ОтветитьBest lesson I’ve watched!
ОтветитьDoes the lefthand stick forwards and backwards motion also do throttle on some helis? Or is the throttle always constant and it only does collective?
Ответитьit is very similar to actual flight. you need pedals for rudder, collective and cyclic how cool is that.
ОтветитьGreat job, instruction that is clear and concise.
ОтветитьHi Freddy, Thanks for these vids. Been flying since the 80's (Airplanes) Haven't seen enough Heli vids that actually teach anything, until yours. Very well done. It is simple, (your direction) but very effective. That's all I needed to know! What to do (or not) with the Cyclic! I always lose it, now I know why.
ОтветитьAre you using a gyro
ОтветитьVery skilled sir
ОтветитьBut how to learn on electric with their short flight time
Ответить❤
ОтветитьThis is the best video I have seen yet on training how to fly. I love that the RC remote is also in the pic it really helps. Thank you.
ОтветитьExcellent video for me as I’m new to helis, coming from RC cars
ОтветитьI just bought the nano s3 RTF and maaaan the collective is WAY more sensitive than this simulator you show.
Ive had it for a week and can hover indoors on collective but ordered a simulator because I can see breaking it if I dont practice on simulator.
Are these simulators realistic, do they help? I imagine the simulator lets you increase sensitivity at will..?
If I move the sticks on my nano like your doing it would take off like a missile and disappear off your screen lol
nice smooth landing
ОтветитьIs there a reason a lot of learning videos use nitro and not electric heli’s ?
ОтветитьHi i am a complete beginner looking to start flying. What would be a good helicopter and controller the buy to start with
ОтветитьThank you for your lesson
ОтветитьExcelente demonstracion felicidades.
ОтветитьGreat job
ОтветитьHave you made a 3d video on doing upside down on the helicopter
ОтветитьSubscribed….
ОтветитьI found it to be helpuf to setup curves on pitch and cyclic like -100, -53, -35, -22, -12, 0, 12, 22, 35, 53, 100(basically setting it up such that the first few mm are little bit less sensitive) as even very little movements on the gimbal sticks seemed too much.
ОтветитьThis is really helpful. Your videos are great.l
ОтветитьClad I came across these lessons the best I'll seen thanks alot.where can I find these simulator please help.
ОтветитьNo use whatsoever
Ответить😊❤️
ОтветитьI could already fly a little around with my micro CP, but was hovering in a 3 m sphere. Thanks to your video I've gone back to hover exercises and can now hold the little machine stable as a rock 😃
ОтветитьSuscribe !!, thank you for the helicopter rc class...
ОтветитьGood job my friend
ОтветитьFreddy I need you help I have a hk500 I want to fly so bad but the controls don't feel right I built the helicopter from the ground up and been learning a lot from your videos but I just I don't know
ОтветитьI have a RC helicopter V450 with devo 7 remote control. But Im having a problem with take off. It shifts towards right side while take off. What could be the problem?
I have checked devo settings and servo motor changed. But still there is problem. Please help
Built, set up and learning myself on an Sceadu. Got to hover tail in and side on and can just about manage a figure 8 but had to step back and re educate myself to fly the nose and not the tail. Also as I fly fixed wing mode 1 the throttle on the left was a little weird so I bought a little Hubsan X4. Cracking little job ,nigh on unbreakable and builds your confidence without thrashing itself to pieces if you get it wrong although I have broken the Sceadu only twice. Once when I put it down too quick and struck the boom ( adjusted collective setting to make that more unlikely now) and once when I didn't put it down quick enough and clipped the blades in the corn. Let battle commence.
Ответить2021 still great ! I hope i wont crash either my 450 or 550 XD
ОтветитьSo I am using RealFlight 7.5 with an InterLink elite controller provided from my workspace (to practice for drones).
the default setting has the collective pitch on the right stick, so I controll my rudder movement and my nose pitch on the left stick and my elevation and my yaw? On the right stick.
Is that inverted or is that also an appropriate way to learn?
I have the Dura v10 which is so much harder to control in my opinion.
ОтветитьCollective free hovering does not seem possible on my helis. It will invariably start drifting too far up or down. To me there has to be some management of the throttle unless you’re using a specific throttle curve or something. Please do enlighten.
Ответитьgreat lesson, just found you in '21
ОтветитьA Big Thank You.... I first watched your series of videos several years ago... I haven't flown for the last 5 years, and thought I'd re watch them to refresh myself. Still very helpful today. Many thanks for your time and attention to explaining.... 23/05/2021.
ОтветитьGreat instructional video. What simulator are you using?
ОтветитьNice video I like it ....you can tell what program or game o what simulator you use for ypu control remoto...so I want to use my remote control with any simulator in the pc for practice ....tganks for ypur help
ОтветитьNice. How much was your flight sim software? I really would like to just play and learn this flight sim first. Until I become good. Before even thinking of buying an RC HELI the very least.
ОтветитьBest tutorial iv seen so far especially when I can see both the Helicopter and the Remote Control because for me a beginner it’s making learning a lot more interesting through observation🤷♂️😮😃😍👌
ОтветитьReally good for someone who is about to enter the sport, thanks mate
ОтветитьHey dude can you show me how to setup the radio of a Walkera V450D03?
ОтветитьAwesome training Freddy wellll done...I am learning with your instruction's...
