Churches as art galleries are pretty common here in The Netherlands where less and less people believe in a god anymore, but at least most of the times the art in those churches is halfway decent.

This looks like a place that people visit but spend no money. Like a park.

The real Hallstatt in Austria is worse. The locals moved to the neighbouring villages long ago and turned all houses into restaurants, gesthouses and shops. Only the facade was left intact. It’s completely fake and feels like a shitty little Austrian theme park. The Chinese version is probably better.
