This video helped me a lot. I used to make Discord servers in favour of people and also owned a few and even though they worked out I never actually got to understand the permissions. After this video I started using the same method: Set up in category, and then ''fine tune'' in channels. Thanks man!

I notice you have that Kick Perm on. Do you still go by the policy of assigning almost all permissions at channel Level?

So what you are saying is better to change the permissions in categories, than in every single channel? Or is better to turn off the permissions in the roles and then change it in categories?

MY QUESTION- (And maybe I am asking in the wrong tutorial and If I am, I do apologize.) I am trying to set up a discord "network' for multiple servers already created. Basically, I commish a baseball and football league for fantasy, and I want to have BOTH of the servers on the same discord server for my convenience- only having the rightful owners have access to the rightful server. The way you describe the roles/perms is THAT how I need to separate the two, or will it simply work having two "servers" under one. If I can paint a pic.... I have at top "My Fantasy Network" with a welcome and such, and then within there, I have Football League server, and Baseball League Server. Is this the correct way, or am I to Have a Football "CATEGORY" and a Baseball Category for this to be controlled?

you know, I am setting up my first server on discord that I am actually hoping takes off (set up others, just between friends) and this is exactly how I have been doing it, because it's just what makes the most sense to me. I'm glad that someone else who has experience with this does it the same way.

How do I make it so a `role` can only message in a specific channel and no other while `@everyone` can?

I actually clicked “view server as role”, how do I change it back?

What permissions do you give for @everyone on the server side?

Hello Garrett, thank you for this great video, one question though. Is there a bot that we can use to give free trial access to our premium channels? Once the trial is ended those channels become hidden to free users, until the upgrade to premium?
