Augmentation Evoker 10.2 Beginner Guide for Raid & M+

First 'multiplayer only' class in WoW.
Tried to solo play pve with him, was some fun, but had to give up quickly. Evokers do not survive unfriendly attention for long, I'd say they need a pet. Of course in a group that's not an issue.

Is augmentation evoker a good speicification to do solo content for 10.20?

Why Vers+Crit is a prio? I saw every1 with Mastery>Haste>Vers>Crit prio stats.

Understand something before you roll one. The Evoker is the squishiest class in the game, even squishier than rogue. You have weak armor, no shields, pets, minions, or any kind of damage mitigation, no dodge, no parry, no block. You will just eat every attack and spell. Your CD on spell block (Quell) is longer than any class in the game. Your range is horrible (25 yards for everything) and your melee is a joke. Your spells have longer cast times than other classes and do less damage. If you're solo questing, you will be 100% dependent on heals. That makes Devastation and Augmentation specs useless outside of a dungeon unless you want a serious challenge. (You can only pull one or two mobs at a time and will be unable to solo any elites). You can only level this class by picking Preservation, limiting your pulls to 3 or less, and healing and healing yourself constantly.

First of all thanks - this really helped! I've got one question which is a bit above beginner I assume, but I've been wondering about it. If I'm looking to manually cast my Prescience, am I essentially just alternating them between my both DPS in the group?

Can you explain why my game keeps switching to bronze stance automatically? It’s really frustrating cause I want to stay in black most of the Time
