Good video. I have seen a few science fiction hardness scales on the internet, and out of them, this is the best. Ofcourse, however, elements found on all 5 levels of this scale could exist in real life, because you cannot write science fiction story on level number 5 set in the distant future, because it is undeniable new things will be discovered and some things once thought to be impossible will be proven to be possible.
In my opinion, a well written sci fi story set within the next 50 years should be level number 5, one set 50-100 years in the future at level number 4, one set 100-200 years in the future, level number 3, one set 200-300 years in the future, level number 2 and any set more than 300 years, level number 1.

Hi! I just met your channel. Sci-Fi is one of the few genres I read (I prefer watch a series). Greetings from Spain.

What level of sci-fi realism do you prefer?

For now, I'm planning on my next couple of topics to be about Stargate's wormholes, followed by the FTL depicted in Dune (assuming I can finish the book by then). If there are any addition topics you want to put on my shortlist, just let me know.
