This fight is absolute aids.

This is ridiculous, the boss only goes after you.

I am not even able to jump the rounds thingies coming from the wall...

Me:(at level 40 with shiel weaver armour and story mode on) this is easy!

for the shell walkers i always just hit them in the hand with a tearblast arrow and that usually takes out both hands leaving them with nothing

They sure ruined the game with these " boss " fights , they are totally ridiculous and Arcade like , 1 hit from something like these and she would look like a squashed tomato .

Somehow I ended up this level at 26

I really like your simple approach (compared to others) to the fireclaw. Plus this is def a good time to craft in the inventory instead. I'm going to try this approach. Thanks :)

To all the people crying about this "boss fight".
Yes... I hated it too and I think it was ridiculous but are y'all aware you can switch to "easy" or "story" difficulty before you override that tower and start the fight again?
At least, on PC you can switch back and forth on the fly.
It still takes forever to kill him (I found the Icerail and electric arrows in the nether-region most effective) but he doesn't do much damage any more.
I'm glad I could get it over with to get on with the story and the fun parts of the game.

Everybody complaining about the final boss, but i actually hated the reciclying bridge thing.

wondered why the fire claw is so hard to kill then i remember im on very hard difficulty
and then i dont use ancient armor because i think its cheating

lol, I spent lie 100 arrows trying to break overgrowth and nothing worked. then I realized I lost a woman following me, so I went back and found her running in an obstacle in place. so I had to spent another 10 explosives to move her a little out of the obstacle and then wall has destroyed with single arrow... wtf :D

OK... I've seen a couple posts saying this walkthrough didn't help with the fireclaw boss... However, I play on my laptop with just a mouse and my keyboard, and I beg to differ. This walkthrough was extremely helpful with that ungodly boss!

First-- The icerail does do damage, but as great as it is, it's tooooo daaaaamn sloooooow! Slingshots? Also too slow, don't go very far, and not accurate enough. That said, hard arrows did worked best for me. They load fast and they're accurate. Concentrated on the large, weak midsection.

Second-- Dodging was key! The beast was just mowing me down when I was trying to sprint and hide from it. I wasn't very good at dodging, until this boss, and I had to reassign keys on my keyboard against this boss to do it effectively.

Third-- Have your med potions ready. They almost weren't enough. I went though all my med potions and basically ended up dodging all over the place to find more mushrooms before the beast turned me into a stain on the ground.

Forth-- Don't try to override the towers that pop up. The fireclaw defends it very, VERY well, even when you're not trying to override it, but it's easier to shoot the canister.

The beast is dead...
Ugh... Definitely the hardest boss I've come across in this game.

Precision arrows, hunter arrows, freeze bombs, rope caster and a SHIT TONNE of DODGING and RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!

Icerail is doing NOOOOOTHING! Only hardpoint arrows hurt this thing so far. Round 2 here we go :')

No problem for me at level 53 with ancient armour at easy to defeat demonic fireclaw!Still it took me 15 minutes to defeat him but I never felt in danger wearing the ancient suit.

Hated this fuckin level with a passion! I loved the game but hated tf out of this level it wasnt even fun! Worst out of the entire game. And that boss fight reminded me of Halo 1 at the end when you fight Tartarus on Legendary smh

I absolutely dispised that final battle from beginning to end. Again like the previous battle against the 3 machines in the snow sneak is completly off the table forcing you into the same annoying dodge and roll scenario. They have no trust the big machine alone is enough either as they have to send these little watchers into the mix. Exactly the same as wil literally every boss battle up to this point. I am so done with that battle mechanic. I hope they do that better in a sequel. No way would i suffer myself through this on Ultra hard as i eventually just keep slapping with my spear just to get it over with. Nobody...and i mean nobody likes to die 60 times because they can't see shit because i am on fire and the damn monkey lights up more then a damn christmas tree. Overpowered is a understatement with these things. Not to mention you have 2 useless partners that only serve to distract it. Seriously Guerillia it is one of the best games i played in a long time but you overreached with this crap. Hepheastus and his machines literally dwarfs Hades from the main game. Why even bother with him in the first place. If this would have been the final battle of the main game i would be more forgiving. A DLC should never overreach your main product. And a Deathbringer at that point was allready overused.

is there anyway to get out of this level? I forgot how much it pissed me off the first time i played it. I've literally been screaming at my tv for an hour trying to kill the stupid fireclaw and i just can't do it. is it possible to quite the level

Arrows take a lot of time to kill. I was using all my traps and failing. Guess I'm trying hardpoint arrows in my 10th attempt to kill this modaf#*#*#

That final battle was a pain in the backside. Ourea and Aratak are one of the worst AI to help you as they did absolutely no damage to the Fireclaw in the battle at all. Thank god that I completed this challenge, but it sort of ruined my Horizon Zero Dawn experience in the process lol.

I got the recycling bridge down but them 2 aren't there! Is this a bug or something?
