This is a dragons braid that they do in men. Just make it fancy with more steps for women

I have to say, personally, braiding is easier for me. This might work for some people better, but I wouldn't want to remove all of those elastics at the end of the day. Ouch!

For everyone complaining about the elastics: you do realise that this is a pull through braid so you will need those elastics even if you do it by brading? This way uses only about 6 more of them than if you do it by adding them as you braid.

My hair is very long and I don't think I would want all those small rubber bands in my hair. Because anytime I braid my hair I like to leave it for a couple of days. So if I was to do something like that and leave those rubber bands in my hair for a couple of days it would probably cause a lot of split ends

This is a bubble braid.

At first I was like “that’s a really long route to an easy braid”, but now I’m thinking that the weight distribution of the layers will make that braid MUCH more difficult to get pulled apart by wind or hair weight. It would probably hold a lot better this way, and get fewer pieces falling out. Not something I’d do on a regular basis since the braids are generally quick, but for a formal event or something outdoors this is pretty handy

I love this braid. I do this on occasion for my daughters games. Softball and volleyball, hair stays put!

this is so much harder than a dutch braid. beautiful still, though.
