Very helpful info. I've been riding for 35 years and haven't done a u-turn that tight. I'm going to practice in parking lot.
ОтветитьGuy is handling the bike like a BOSS
ОтветитьIs camshaft chain npise I hear at the end ?
ОтветитьYep , tiz bout counter lean not leaning
ОтветитьSo somebody has so much knowledge they need to make a video on U Turns because they know so much and you need them. What a joke
ОтветитьDude u make it look so easy! And your bike must weight a ton! I need to practice this. Thanks for the tips!!
ОтветитьThat headlight definitely gets the attention of everyone looking in ur general direction
ОтветитьI have nothing to complain about U turn on surface with good grip but it scares me in dirt, dusty and broken roads
ОтветитьGood stuff
ОтветитьLike it
Ответитьwhat do you do if your bike has an automatic transmission and doesnt have a clutch?
ОтветитьI agree. I am 76. I can avoid single track paths but I can’t avoid uturns! And I’m not always good. The trick is like off road. The throttle is your friend. The throttle. Forget the brake. Throttle keeps you up. Fear of falling is the enemy and the brake will make you fall.
ОтветитьUsed to do some of the widest turns until I learned some of these techniques. Thanks for posting this video & information.
ОтветитьCant wait to come to your training camp Brett!
Ответитьvery good instructional video. I liked how you showed the wheel physics when making the turn with a lean and the difference when doing it without it
ОтветитьI thought of an excellent reason to learn how to do a U turn. Let's say you're riding up a steep road on a curve and you meet a charging; moose or grizzly bear. That would be a very bad time to learn how to beat a hasty retreat.
ОтветитьPractice, practice, practice.
Ответитьpracticamente puedo escuchar su ropa hablar jajaja
ОтветитьWow!
ОтветитьI need to be able to do this. Thanks Bret!
ОтветитьGreat video Bret. Love your low speed control of the bike. I'm good turning at speed when counter steering, but not so much when going really slow. Part of the issue is the high end sport bikes I ride, fearing a drop while practicing. If I only had a little beater to practice on for these turns it would help.
ОтветитьAmazing explanation 👌🏍😎
Ответитьthank you.
ОтветитьIt's an Expert's Perfect Teachin👌Thank u 😍 Follower from India
ОтветитьClutch rear break practice etc
ОтветитьHow to "modulate the power" with a bike with no clutch, for example a scooter?
ОтветитьBeing smooth is key when doing anything on a motorcycle …
ОтветитьWish someone told me to use the clutch and not the front brake when making a u turn! Slams the bike directly on the ground! Lol. That happened years ago, but I still remember the embarrassing moment.
ОтветитьI've been riding for 65 years and have always gotten this wrong. Tried letting the bike roll under me yesterday and the difference was beyond amazing. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI'm getting better at "U" turns but it takes a lot of practice with a DCT transmission. I try not to use the back break too much because you are straining the clutch packs, giving it gas while also braking. I am trying to get it to where I can control the speed with just the throttle. A DCT transmission acts like a centrifical clutch in 1st gear, the more gas, the more it grabs making it difficult to "feather". With a normal clutch your slippage is far more manageable.
ОтветитьFor some reason, I have a lot of trouble turning right, but no problem turning left. Every time I try to u-turn right, I feel like I'm going to fall over, but I can do a left turn without thinking about it.
ОтветитьБесполезные советы..
ОтветитьWhen you lean your bike what speed do you need to keep your bike moving so you don't fall off ?
8mph / 10 mph example thank you.
I appreciate your thorough and practical explanations and guides, as a new rider...thanks!
ОтветитьWhat is the bike model used in this video?
ОтветитьJesus just the amount of control you have over such a huge bike is insane, I'm about to buy my first bike and I'm freaking out about the weight of it... lol you must have an insane amount of experience.
Ответитьin other words. just chill. let the bike ride. 🤌🏽
ОтветитьDoes DCT change the water on the beans?
ОтветитьI love the way you explained the u turn and the walk through demonstration!
ОтветитьGreat video great information for beginners, with that in mind. I would cation that you explanation of clutch setup is vague and generic so maybe best left for someone who is not a beginner…
Or maybe you have a exclusive clutch setup video that could be linked?
I owned a BMW motorcycle once.
I actually wanted to kick my OWN ass.
I thought about buying a Harley Davidson once so I DID kick my own ass.
See, I'd be a dweeb to buy a BMW again, but I'd be an IDIOT to buy a Harley.
I was watching this video and I fell asleep…… I woke up and it was on
Ответить
Ответитьthe demonstration at 5min it was very informative
ОтветитьAnd this u turn was something my dad tried to teach me the first time i touched a motorclycle. No fucking wonder i dropped it. Guess how much he blamed me afterwards. I haven't driven much at the time. Hell i didn't even know how to use the clutch properly. The turn was also not on a flat surface it was tilted a bit downwards because when you exit our yard you have to go down in a pretty steep angle.
ОтветитьThank you sir for this good video
ОтветитьGreat video 👍 Thank you for pointing out some fine maneuver tips may the peace of our Lord be with you and yours always 🙏
ОтветитьI got my bike licence in Thailand with a 1 minute practical test, since then I have learned a lot, but like my first hill start I have had to learn from vids like this. So now I will perfect my U-turns..thanks. I have been riding for 16 years, in Asia and Europe, so a wealth of experience. Smile all the time, Thailand LOS ("land of smiles")
