My parents are overprotective, controlling, and don’t take care of me well. They think controlling my screen time will make them better parents.

ОтветитьHere’s my argument for why anyone above ages 12 shouldn’t have reduced screen time from the perspective of a sophomore in highschool ! :) I think anywhere below age 11 screen time is good for you (get mad 11 year olds go touch some grass)from age 12-13 I think 1 hour is way to limited and 2.5- 3 should be the limit of how limited the time can be considering social media such as snap chat and Instagram is a way a lot of kids communicate with friends and friends prefer to communicate with them. Now 14 is a golden age since most kids are staring a freshmen year in highschool! Big changes! Teens become more independent and are learning and understanding the world around them. And same as middle schoolers, friends prefer to reach out and communicate three snap chat usually and telling your kid they have to be limited on snap chat is kinda disconnecting them from their friends! And also saying “well if they where good friends they would talk to you in iMessages to” just because your kids friends would rather talk on Snapchat doesn’t make them bad friends, if just means that’s their main platform to talk on and it’s really hard to force somebody else’s kid to talk on iMessages just to talk to one person! My other argument is, if you are still limiting your kid at age 15 (my age) they are 3 years away from adulthood..? Are you going to limit their screen time until the day they move out! Especially one hour!? (The amount of time I have) in my own experience and a vast majority of my friends around my same age agree with this- I obsess over my phone when I have screen time! Who else can agree!!! You obsess over the things you could be doing but can’t, and make this huge list in your head of what your going to do when the screen time rests tommrow morning…and that leads to more obsession when you have the phone time- it’s a whole cycle!! You obsess more over your phone when you don’t have it!! Parents! This limiting of your kids phoen time makes them more anxious and obessibe over their phone it’s fixing no problems! It’s making problems worse!
ОтветитьDoes it keep all time limits? because it would seem suspicious.
ОтветитьHow do I do it when my phone doesn’t show the delete screen time button
Ответитьcan u make a video off how to Put Change passcode and turn off screentime video?
ОтветитьAnd it doesn’t say turn off screentime
ОтветитьBut my iPhone 8 says that i cannot Change passcode😢
ОтветитьBro my phone won’t let me turn it off what do I do my mom will find out way too much (don’t worry it’s nothing inappropriate)
ОтветитьAm i the only one who didn’t understand anything?
ОтветитьDoes this removes only one day data?
ОтветитьThnx this really helped
ОтветитьSo what happens if you don't know your password
ОтветитьThis doesn’t work for me
Ответитьdamn my mom will know that i turned off the screen time and turned it back on bc it deletes all the screen time history from the days before uggghhh
ОтветитьWait so my screen time deletes after 7days or does it stay for ever?
ОтветитьGoing too fast and banner blocks the view
