In my mind the upcoming release should be GTA 8. Vice City is GTA 4 and it goes from there. Vice City and SA have more than proven over the years that they should've been numbered titles and not just GTA 3 add ons. Especially since both are succeededingly better than 3 on multiple levels.

i wouldnt say the 2026 release date is fake 100% but its more of an emergency thing gta 5 had it aswell theres 2 stages which the rumor is march (no idea how true this is) it could get moved to stage 2 of the delay being later in the year then the stage 3 being 2026, but from what the evidence shows with rockstar aquiring different languages an ratings from around the world means from evidently previous titles have proven that the game is almost done although for throughout this year will be just finishing stuff up and testing while also making the code not poor like gta 5 ( while gta 5 is a great game and 1 of my favourites but their code just made some really buggy things happen for both singleplayer and multiplayer, i do say it been more of a recent thing than release of gta 5 and online cus i barely got as much buggy instances around those times) ima predict a early 2025 launch i feel like march april is perfect although around november early december would break records in terms of sales which will probably happen regardless knowing the rockstar franchise, idk but its been a while since ive been geuinely hyped for a game release and i really dont think they slithered away with aging and growing up i just think theirs been like 5 good instances of good games since gta 5 1 being cod bo2,bo3, fortnite (early ofc the past 4 years or whenever chapter 1 to 2 ending thats been turned into a dumpster fire since that) cod bo4 was pre good, but everything since then has been turned into obvious money grabs no good content and really buggy instances for years of lifecycle, further going on with my point game developers just dont give a fk bout their core fans to make a game they enjoy which for rockstar is very few developers i have full faith in i havent been let down by a rockstar title yet and the only rockstar games i havent played are the first 2 interations of gta (point being their like impossible to play anymore ) and red dead entrys i did play a lil bit but them style games just aint my cup of tea but from the times i did play em their open world and interactions is sick and if ur into that style of game it would be in ur top 3 for sure

The fact that Rockstar managed to get GTA5 to run at 30 FPS on Xbox 360 and PS3 despite looking an entire generation above everything else leads me to believe that Rockstar will get GTA6 running at 60 FPS on PS5. Similar to the original GTA5 release, I'd expect them to trim out everything to get it running well on current gen then bring it back for the PC and next gen release.
