Keep in mind that this is P5X's first beta, and everything is subject to change!
No game over when leader KO's is just a personal preference of mine
role playing?
you dead you dead?
i,m still waiting for Be able to have ability to play using 6 party member or full party member like 8
Ответитьdownside: No Difficulty
i guess its will be only avaible in online co-op Dungeon stuff
in that mode bassicly
its a role playing similar to act freely mode
i hope not
anyway its a mobile game
Even they doesnt add co-op mode some person will begging them to add that mode
I think that having the leader die meaning game over makes sense. He is the wildcard, he is the fool. If he dies. It is over. It fits not just because it’s your character but story and thematically it makes tons of sense
ОтветитьMaybe because persona protagonists are silent protagonists, aka basic bare minimum to be a self insert, the idea of "you" dying means all is lost. Just another way to make YOU feel like you're the most special person.
ОтветитьI definitely like the "mc dies =/= game over" thing, but i feel like if it DOES happen, then the other party members should auto attack, since in P5 i believe Joker is canonically giving the orders.
ОтветитьFinal Fantasy protagonist dies :
PHOENIX DOWN
Don't most other megaten games also allow you to continue even when the protag is koe'd? Like sh2 and smt4
ОтветитьI think the reason this is the case is because it's a Gacha. In the full game I feel like you would be able to make a full party without the protagonist. It's a Gacha Games where they will sell Protagonists of different Persona Games, it would be funny if they added that for them but I doubt it because it's a Gacha. Whole point is summon and use your favourite characters in whatever team you want.
ОтветитьAkechi :"The Phantom Thieves are useless without their leader".
Atlus being aware of how silly it is that it's a game over when Joker gets KOd and your teammates telling you how much they need you. I mean... It's some nice encouragement to the player... but c'mon.
I remember i was scared of Joker to die in p5 Strikers and i was surprised when game over didn't happen after his death.
But i kinda think, that protagonist die= game over is still what 'd like for persona to stay, it's still makes an interesting strategy like how to attack and save the king lol.
Though it really doens't make sense when your teamate can revive you
That's... not better tho? It's just because it's a shitty gacha game and the main character doesnt matter
ОтветитьI definitely didn't see that coming.
Ответитьwhere did you get the ending animated image for the outro?
ОтветитьGod I wanna play this game so bad! BRING IT TO THE STATES
ОтветитьIf I may be honest, I understand why Persona 5/Royal do it. In those, the story is being told by Joker as a testimony. If Joker dies, I see it as the same ending for not securing a route to the treasure, The Interrogation by Sae is over, and Akechi kills Joker.
In P5X, Im fine without it due to us not knowing the story and it being a spinoff.
The no game over is probably because the mc is not very important to the plot compared to Joker, for Joker was being watched by a fake Igor whom was trying to see if he could win or not meaning if joker died God of Control is disappointed and bored so he takes control of the world and enslaves humanity p3 and p4 was similar to this one but they never figured out how to programmed that until now, I'm not say MC is not important enough for he's a MC it's more like they are not important enough to stop the story from progressing, it will continue even after they die or pass out for they have allies to revitalize them after battle or successful flee or something along those lines.
ОтветитьWhen a prequel does better than a sequel
ОтветитьIt makes sense why they have a mechanic like this in the first place, for difficulty sake but couldn't they just make stuff harder and remove the mechanic? Like combat is much harder but if leader gets knocked out, you still continue but at a disadvantage. Then there's the concern of "What if it becomes too hard then?" Make a difficulty like the other games, combat that doesnt really punish you but with the leader dying mechanic.
ОтветитьAt least this was another aspect that was brought back from the classic era. I could only assume Atlus did this balance things out. All party members have set personas while the party leader has can wield multiple personas.
ОтветитьHow are people playing this
Ответитьwhat is the source of your outro background image? its amazing!
ОтветитьI'm assuming you can switch out the leader in this game bc that's how gachas usually work so that's probably why
ОтветитьEh, still prefer the protagonist dying causing game over, plus it only makes sense for that to not be the case for spinoff games that put an emphasis on other party members like PQ1/2, Strikers, and especially P5X since it's a gacha game.
P5 is so easy it'd be a joke if there wasn't at least some consequence for the protagonist dying.
It's become a staple for 3-5 that I personally hope it's still a thing in P6.
It’s all about command settings it’s weird act freely still results game over when main character dies
ОтветитьIt makes sense from a balance perspective, the protagonist is usually the LEAST likely to fall since you can get different personas to resist almost any attack
ОтветитьThe same is true for P5S.
ОтветитьI'm sorry I just can't watch a cheap animation that looks like it was pulled from some dollar page and think wow they did it better than the original xD
ОтветитьКакой же ты тупой идиот, я в шоке, ты видимо не понимаешь зачем нужен гейм овер в персоне (в любой, кретин)
ОтветитьWe need to stop calling mechanics making things easier "better". The MC is the most broken party member, of course he is not supposed to die and you should get punished for it harder.
ОтветитьLeader dying and game over is a mechanic that I always found fun and challenging... and there are a couple other mechanics that make it bearable (my favorite being party members taking the shot for the leader once they are high ranked enough!)
ОтветитьWell,it is indeed a better gameplay experience. But it is a tradition in RPG's that when the main character dies is a game over, despite the fact it is very annoying it is something everyone has internalized. However,it's much better in the Phantom X way if we talk only about gameplay itself.
ОтветитьGood to see the protag is no longer destiny bonded to the entire team.
ОтветитьBruh this is just a bad decision.
ОтветитьLet’s be real rq P5R joker dying and getting game over makes sense because he’s supposed to be the savior he’s telling the story from his perspective and the game would be to easy if joker dies and we can just continue the game was already to easy no matter what difficulty you played on
ОтветитьJust like persona 3
Ответитьthey didnt do it “better”
ОтветитьThis ain't better, it's cringe look at the way he falls down top amogus
ОтветитьAt least the screeni shake and allies team endure protect can be a detail for persona 5
ОтветитьStill Persona 5 better than this gacha shit
ОтветитьI HATE the game over in Persona 5 so mucu
ОтветитьJust like in Persona 1 and 2. The MC falls, and you can still playing if there is someone yet.
ОтветитьOf course, it's not the same game from many prospectives.
ОтветитьAlso SMT 4 & Apocalypse did it before this.
Ответитьwhile this is true, it means that the main character will likely get powercrept and be replaceable
ОтветитьBig W
ОтветитьWelcome back to Persona 2. Hope they'll carry this to P6.
ОтветитьReminds me of Persona Q2, the protagonist doesn’t die unless you set the mode to where he dies and it’s game over
ОтветитьWait a minute wait a minute wait a minute hold on hold on hold on. You can go up to 99999 HP IN THIS GAME?!
Ответить
