My hair sister!! Over moisturizing is a real thing & it has happened to Me... I've had to start over even with just using natural products we need the proper amount of protein, moisture & heat training for our individual hair needs everyone is different so the products have to match your routine environment & body chemistry... I have to say direct heat from blow dryers & flat irons are horrible on our ethnic hair it sucks the life out of it I'm thinking about the science behind steam press but I'm not sold yet
