Very refreshing video. Hard work in nature with positive results. Beavers are incredible builders. I don’t want to get rid of them. I only want to have them and farmers coexist.

The beaver won't be happy that you sabotage all his hard work this way. He will call his friends and build back better! By the way, is there a time of year when there can be a nest chamber with baby beavers in it, inside the dam, in a pocket of air ? =)

I’ve had to remove more beaver dams than I count, and I NEVER try to dig them out from the bottom up! Dig a channel on the top, and let the water and gravity do the work for you. Keep digging while the water is flowing through, and it will soon collapse on its own.

Bet that gave someone down stream a surprise when that deluge of water came down!

Not being critical, but why does dam have to come down?

How many beavers does it take to make a dam that size? It looks like a huge amount of work (I'll bet they're annoyed!).

The importance of digging at the right places first, with little apparent effect, then knowing when the break is coming, and getting out of the way in time.
