David Choe's Strange Encounter While Hitchhiking

I hitched once in my life.. after the guy picked me up he asked if I care if he smoked I said no and he proceeded to light a joint.. he passed it to me and asked how much I smoked.. I knew the dude wasn't a Fed so I told him like an eighth every 2 days.. he then proceeded to ask me if he scraped my lungs if he would be able to get high off the resin.. that question instantly took my buzz away... I got out at the next light, and this dude has not hitchhiked since.

Gosh, should change his name to Jackanory....

I drove a cab in Sydney Australia for 10 years & the stuff people confessed to me would fill a book. I’m a straight male & only had 1 female proposition me but plenty of gay men do it. Sometimes they would be in tears after I refused out of loneliness. I saw a lot of humanity.

I use to get rides all the time from strangers when I lived in the mountains if I was walking my bike uphill or carrying my skis in the winter. People just assumed I was cool. I once got a ride from western Denver all the way to Winter Park, Colorado.

I was close to being murdered while hitching in Canada bro, most of the times hitching, it was great, the two times that werent great were fucking terrifying, 100% do not recommend. The therapy alone is worth more than paying fuel, food and flights

I hitchhiked once from about a hour and a haft with two rides and it was only females that picked me up. They both was very nice.

My first time hitch hiking I was headed back to a hostel in New Zealand and the dude that picked me up had his son in the back and he just told me and mostly his son abt his experience hitchhiking across the United States at my age. Good dude, in the us a lot of ppl tend to pick you up and rant abt how unsafe it is and then let you go a bit down the road depending on where they are going
