I actually found this song in a funny way. I was playing this ROBLOX game a few years ago, alright? It was sort of a retrowave-vibe type game. If you were gonna play a ROBLOX game at night, this was the game to play. Anyways, I hear the intro to the song, and I'm like "Whoa, that's kind of a depressing intro, surely the whole song isn't like that" and as I kept listening, I fell even more in love with the music, yes the theme behind the song is about the fall of humanity, so my guess wasn't completely incorrect, but it didn't make me sad, y'know? Like, if I was putting my self into the song, it makes me feel like I'm a character in the story, a survivor if I may, who's just trying to make it through the futuristic apocalypse. The point being, I found this song in on a ROBLOX game, spent months trying to find who made it, found it, haven't stop listening since.

I don't know what to say besides, you did a fantastic job! I'm just floored that you chose this. I'm 49 in just another couple months. And I'm seeing this lovely young person interested in such an obscure band and their music, from my youth. I don't know exactly why, but it makes me tear up and feel like weeping. I don't know if it's joy because of your playing, or if it's in mourning for my lost youth. Please carry on with your interests, your enthusiasm, your delight in these things that to me, seem on the very edge of being lost and forgotten; like my younger years. Thank you for it.

All of these are some variation of "a lady is about to be raped and a man modeled after or obsessed with 80's nostalgia has to save her and gets rewarded for being trapped in a consumerist hell by receiving a hot girl that he can sexually harass"

... like there's a difference between satirizing media that has the male gaze and just making a love letter to it

I just discovered this kind music (again) a few days ago and am flashed! I bought the CDs just to transfer them to cassette now. I was looking for my old Walkman just for that kind of music!
