The Essential EU4 DLC Guide 2024

I never get past the reformation, i usually end when the printing press gets founded.

it's odd alot of these "new" functionalities somehow i have without having the dlcs.. paradox works in complicated ways i guess xD

I looked at this cause I'm new to EU4 and wanted to know what to get. I can't believe how much stuff that should be base game mechanics is behind DLCs! At least with HOI4 they give important base game changes for free when they add them in a DLC like when trains became the new main way to give supply.

I don't even want to see what base EU4 looks like. Must be a broken shell of a game.

I see a $5 subscription for DLCs on steam, seems like a good option for someone like me who is just looking to get his feet wet.

Which dlcs I need to get to get the new infantry skins? Been playing as France but I want that French knight skin

I bought the Monuments Pack some days ago and there's a problem. While the monuments exist on the map , when I select Athens for example ( or any province that has a monument) it doesn't appear above the buildings tab. I have tried uninstalling the game , disabling and enabling the add-on but nothing. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

You don’t need the Mandate of Heaven to get that. That’s apart of the base game lol. I have 0 DLCs
Also you get the reform policy stuff as the base game too. Someone didn’t check the base game before doing this lol

I bought the game Yh for £40 only to feel like I bought a demo LOOL I’ve stopped playing now cause I know I’ll never actually fully play the game. No point

The worst part is how alienating it is to anyone trying to get into the game. I bought the base version alone (because I wanted to test it before I sank hundreds of dollars into DLC) and came to the conclusion it was a horrible game and not worth my time. Only recently have I discovered that it really isn’t as bad as it seemed but instead that the DLC is so critical that the game is completely dysfunctional alone

Hey, could you do another video about which dlc are important, because (a year later) there are a few you haven't mentioned. at all. Lions of the north hasn't been mentioned, because it hadn't come out yet / hadn't been announced yet. So, I was wondering if you think it's a vital dlc as well. and did you know that all the dlc added up, come down to 149.92€?

If you will do a new guide like this, maybe do a top x or something, because while I like the game, I'm reluctant to drop that much money on a bunch of dlc. and unfortunately, I completely missed the spring sale.

It is extremely helpful and valuable for me and another ones who are so grateful in the enjoyment when playing Eu4. Even until the game is outdated by Paradox or Paradox is fallen in the far future

How is Rights of Man in 2023? There is a bundle with it but all the Steam reviews say the features of Rights of Man are not relevant anymore.

So many of those things they have just added into the game and you don’t even need the dlc for it.
