I Played Titan Quest 2 – Here’s What I think! From my Gameplay Preview Hands-On

Nobody is going to play a game that looks like it was made over ten years ago. This game, next to POE 2, please my guy. Don't waste your time with this.

I wish for a new passive or active skill unique to the combination. Instead of just the name of the class changing.

Can i zoom the camera in on my character? I always thought that was a big thing for me all args should have it

Diablo4 is so bad, I really would like to have a good new action rpg.

ok, i played tq with immortal throne for years! with many mods and tq 2 looks just as diablo iv, but i didn´t like diablo 4.

Graphics look amazing, but otherwise, probably since it's a demo and you are playing a low level warrior, the combat feels very repetitive. Just watching, I can't notice the same attack pattern, ice daggers, stomp, ice aoe, then stomp or multi attack the frozen mobs - repeat. I am not seeing how you are progressing through a quest or mission from these clips, so graphics aside, it seems like any other action rpg.

I love the og tq but I feel like they're really falling short at the fantasy aspect with their icons for skills and the tree itself. these feel like boy scout badges rather than a "cool ass lava rock guy" -12 year old me. I hope it changes

I bounce between Xbox and PC a lot. My highest whishlist item is being able to have cloud saves for single player that are cross platform.

Titan Quest 1 was the best Diablo 2 Clone at the time. I remember running my game on a certain Patch were i could "power level" by clicking on my Gravestone

Hi and thank you for the video! I know I will love this game, it's the best RPG imo. Without a doubt it will have a special weight attached to it in terms of visuals and gameplay. I MUST say, that inventory looks AMAZING, just the way it should be, larger pieces of gear take more space while smaller take less space. That is something which other RPG's miss most of the time. It's wonderful to have that and I hope they will bring more stuff like this from TQ into TQ2, only with more polish of course. Just a piece of art.

Will be real curious to see how this turns out since crate entertainment, the developers of TQ1 and Grimdawn, are not working on it.

It's I'm sure I'll get this too this game, but sometime after Avowed and Veilguard. I played TQ1 quite a bit but it was never a top tier game to me. So far this one looks a little too much like TQ1 but I'll see.

The same monster death animation is frightening, the game speed seems very slow, not sure if they will be able to surpass grim down

I own the disks for the original game and the expansion. Ill play the game and if its another diablo clone ill dump it within a week like the rest. If the game doesnt have a unique progession system where time spent equates to power and rewards then its not worth wasting time on. The first TQ was killed by mods and BS that made playing the game irrelevant. I want a game where playing through the story and accomplishing things makes you legendary instead of killing the same stupid mob over and over again. The appeal of gambling addiction-based mentalities needs to end with these types of games. Fk your best build trees and here is what you should do to level x skill character. The story and the progression to becoming the world savior need to mean something and if they dont then fk this game before its released as with all the other arpg games.

After years of Diablo and D2, my interest waned in this format as it flooded the market. Playing TitanQuest (1) was great but the grind for equipment, paired with the desire for sets prompted me to download a few mods which fixed that 'problem' and allowed me to focus entirely on 'moving through' the beautiful and varied landscapes and enemies to the end including DLC.

Okay. I just have to ask, because it drives me nuts in almost every game. Does anyone actually like the tiered loot system? By that I mean there is leveled loot and it comes in white, green, blue, etc. If so, why do people like it? For me, there are few things more annoying and immersion breaking than finding a legendary (often gold) item with a bunch of bonuses at level 5, then at level 6-7, I find a common item that does way more damage and I have to use it because the legendary weapon hits like a malnourished toddler. It makes getting unique and legendary items so pointless, and I can’t get excited about loot after that because whatever I find, I know will just get replaced in an hour or something by a much less interesting item because of bigger numbers. That’s so uninteresting to me. Games like Cyberpunk fixed that by allowing you to upgrade weapons to higher tiers as you progressed, which meant I didn’t dread finding unique weapons anymore even though there was a tier system for them. I thought that was brilliant. I think every game with loot mechanics like that should allow you to do that.

My older brother and i played though Titan Quest at least 5 times together. I'm super hyped for this, looks on point. Day one for me if everything lines up.

Perfect voice for the silent movie genre.

Skill modifiers were already in the 1st game though. Just that it was branched out like another skill.

Somehow Titan Quest went totally unnoticed for me which is crazy considering that I've played Dragon Age Origins, Diablo 2, 3, and 4, Path of Exile, Divinity 1 and 2, Baldur's Gate 3, King Arthur: A Knight's Tale, Pathfinder: Kingmaker and WotR, heck! Even Solasta and Disco Elysium. I can't believe that I've missed out on Titan Quest. Definitely gonna pick up TQ2 though

I just wish the UI and color design didn't look so muted and diablo-like, especially the health/mana makes it look identical. Hopefully there are options/mods for that but otherwise seems great 😎🤙

I just hope that PoE II and TQ II don't come close to each other, because....I don't have the time xD but really want to play both!

TQ 2 and Grim Dawn 2 are the two I'm most excited about. D4 has gotten to be much better in the meantime.
