Great video. Would really appreciate a remake of it with the latest interface on the GCP site, which has changed a little since you made this. I'm a bit confused over making the firewall rules, so have not been able to login to Hestia after installing it. As I said, some things seem to have changed since this video. Even if you added a 'quickie' just to point out the new things to look out for. Also, using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS? differences/dangers? Oh - and found out the hard way not to upgrade version according to the Ubuntu prompts - it breaks the Google addons to the package. Need to use Google's own updater.

You neglected to mention that part of the signup process includes giving credit card information for billing, supposedly to avoid fraud, but after you quickly exhaust the $300 of freebees, it is actually very easy to start wracking up substantial costs without being aware of it, even if you think you've signed up for the supposedly 'always free' tier.

Never ever ignore your free trial account without closing billing, else your card will be debited automatically after 90 days.. I did that mistake and hope no one else does the same.

Great tutorial! I'd like to offer a quick fix for a small issue -
When I tried to first log in to HestiaCP, the browser refused to enter it since the SSL certificate was not configured.
I managed to solve it easily by configuring a LetsEncrypt certificate using the following commands in the terminal:

sudo su -
v-add-letsencrypt-host

Then I logged in successfully with the SSL certificate being configured.
It seems that it also create a cronjob to renew it automatically once in a while, which is very cool feature.

is it a 90 days trial as mentioned in the top header or a lifetime free tier ? after the 90 days end I will be charged per month or per use like if the website has little traffic how much I will be charged for hosting?

I have an issue from my side after following the exact same steps. I created a VM on google cloud and hestia. I also configured my domain and authenticated on sendinblue as well. The issue is that I am able to receive emails and just not able to send any email. I can "technically" send email but I never arrives to the receiver. I ask for help with my issue!

If you wants to setup email as he mentioned with sendinblue you follow the video he mentioned, you would be able to send emails however you can't receive emails you have to open a port. As he added firewall rule 8083. You add one with 80,443,143,993,110,995,25,465,587
Personally I'm not an expert on this, i googled allot of stuff and saw that in the oracle video he didn't just add 8083 he added all of that
