I just eat the broccoli stems
ОтветитьDon’t use broccoli stems for stock
ОтветитьIt might not be the healthiest thing, but stock powder costs less than the water and energy you use to keep, conserve and cook the scraps into a broth. So no, this is not a student thing so save money but a thing for people who got time to cook and be sustainable.
ОтветитьDo you refrigerate the stock after making it?
ОтветитьWhat does it taste like?
ОтветитьThey have lots of pesticides on peels, call it pesticide broth
ОтветитьWhat do you make with Veggie atock
ОтветитьI eat the broccoli stalk. In fact I love to eat it raw
ОтветитьYou can eat the broccoli stalk/ chunk. It's actually quite good
ОтветитьBeef cubes and bay leaves help bring out flavor!
ОтветитьSouth Asians be like:👁👄👁
ОтветитьPro tip if you have an oven toss them veggies on a tray with a lil oil and roast them at like 400 for like 5-8 mins before you put it to boil
ОтветитьMine turned out really bitter.. what could I have done wrong?
ОтветитьWhat to do with that liquid??
ОтветитьPlease clean the peels of potatoes, carrots and more vegetables that were underground or close to the ground since those can have unhealthy bacteria, which doubles in quantity every 20 minutes so if you freeze it it will only temporarily stop the production of new bacteria and if you take to long they can seriously do something
ОтветитьIt will consume a lot of gas and time instead buy stock cubes
ОтветитьThe only veggies I'm using are baby carrots and frozen broccoli
ОтветитьNo
ОтветитьThe comments are crazy for this one 💀💀💀
ОтветитьFun fact what the fruit veg looks like thats probaly what its good for eg
Tomato 🍅 good for heart

There are many more just search for "foods that look like the body parts they are good for " ❤
I made this yesterday with mainly onion scraps (with some carrot, courgete, pumpkin, red pepper and it was REALLY bad and bitter so I had to throw ir away. I don't know what did I do wrong and I was quite upset son if anyone can give me tips I would appreciate it <3
ОтветитьDon’t use potatos it only adds dirt flavor
ОтветитьMicroorganisms feed on the food scraps that we add on the compost pit so i rather use the leftovers/food scraps to make more plants
If you're wondering how to make it these are the steps:
1. Get a big or small flower pot but if you want to recycle you could use a big bottle and cut it open
2. You could use dry leaves or newspaper
3. Then add the food scraps on top of them
Like this:
soil
food scraps
dry leaves
soil
food scraps
dry leaves
soil
“ during the week you probably use a lot of veggies “
me with my instant ramen and rice
What do you use it for?
ОтветитьThrow a rotisserie chicken carcass in there and you have some awesome chicken soup. Yum
ОтветитьSo now what do we do with the vegetable scraps after that?
ОтветитьLike the one from hilda!
ОтветитьA friend of mine is a farmer, one time he saw me eat a cucumber with its peel. He told me if it was him he would never eat the peel because of the amount of pesticides it carries. Even after thoroughly washing it it would still carries significant amount of pesticides (according to him).
I'm not crazy about the organic hype, food pollution, etc. But ever since, I started being cautious and leaning more towards fruits and vegetables with peels because I can get rid of the peel and potentially reduce the possible pollution.
Long story short, I wouldn't do such soup untill I'm comfortable enough about the cleanliness of my food
i give all that to the wormies on my compost :c
Ответитьas a student, ramen.
ОтветитьYo what do we use THAT for
Ответить,,you probably use a lot of veggies"
as a student?? IN THIS ECONOMY???
who tf peels their carrots? are those the same people that peel apples and cucumbers? thats shameful.
ОтветитьWhat about bell pepper stems?
Ответитьbrave of you to assume students will have veggies with which to get scraps from
ОтветитьWhenever I boil potatoes I save the water and make a broth out of it. Usually by adding dry shiitake, pu-erh tea, sometimes garlic and olive oil, i guess you can add anything from there. And strain. As a vegetarian that mix is very savoury, kinda meaty.
ОтветитьBtw u can just eat broccoli stems just as you can eat the rest of it
ОтветитьThis may be good for organically grown vegetables. Vegetables are sprayed with pesticides (atleast where I live) and washing doesn't really get the pesticides off completely so I peel and throw away the outer layers, especially the skins. However, brocolli stem and other unwanted vegetable parts that are not eaten could be washed and used for this I guess.
ОтветитьYou guys peel you're carrots? 😧
ОтветитьMan being sanji
Ответитьnot appealing at all for me
ОтветитьWhen I was in college, my roommate and I often made stock/broth. The easier way is to use a rice cooker, this is a very good investment at that time.
ОтветитьThat is a very good idea. I think I will try to save my veggie scraps and use it to make veggie broth instead of buying it.
ОтветитьPotato skins??? I get carrot tops, onion skins, celery garlic tops .. but onion skins? They taste awful.
Ответитьwhat do you use the stock for tho. soups?
ОтветитьJust do garlic and the hot water and it’s already bussin
ОтветитьI'm so sad I can never do that bc between my bunnies and the dog pretty much the only things leftover are onion and garlic skins and that makes a shitty soup..
Ответитьyou don't eat broccoli stems?
ОтветитьHow does that taste
Ответить
