As someone who’s peaked radiant, I was hardstuck immortal 3, the only difference between me and most of the radiants I played against was I didn’t play enough to hit radiant in Ep5. I was top-mid frag in radiant lobbies. But I wasn’t putting in enough time to actually hit top 500, when episode 6 started, I hit radiant and maintained it almost all the way through act 1, then I quit because of how draining it was. The difference I noticed was how dedicated most radiants were vs me.

I think the immo was under pressure lol I'm in plat and some of his plays were questionable. I wonder if he shook the nerves if anything would be different. That being said the radiant was quite "Krispy"

Even Woohoojin (one of the most reputable and nicest coaches in Valorant) says anyone, no matter how bad they think they are, can get to immortal 1 with the proper training and mindset, but to hit radiant however, requires a whole other level of dedication and inherent skill that many won't be able to reach.

Just for reference, if you listen to any pro player (who normally sit around high radiant, or 900rr+) when they talk about getting an IMMORTAL 3 player in their lobby, its like a diamond player talking about/meme-ing about getting a bronze player in their game. Even though they're "technically" 1 rank apart, the difference is insane at the top end.

This goes for most things at the competitive level. A bronze metal Olympian is often at a very tangible difference compared to a gold metal Olympian in performance and thats just 3 positions apart. A 0.01% player is 100x the magnitude higher than a 1% top player. It's just hard to conceive for the majority of players who sit between plat and ascendant.
