Your story is an inspiring example of transitioning into technology!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьAh I am tricked.. i would like to watch "how to become a software engineer without a computer" instead.. 🤣
ОтветитьGreat tips ...thanks for sharing Tiffany
ОтветитьThere’s a big difference between being a coder, and a professional software engineer. Yes, learning the code fundamentals is essential, but there’s a lot more to it than that which are required to build large scale complex apps for companies and clients , such knowing proper design patterns for the code base, coming up with models for db, using SQL, figuring out which are the best practices for the application to have less bugs, deployment, CS degree doesn’t teach that, only the basics of programming,
ОтветитьI always wanted to be software engineer coz they seem to be kinda relaxed in offices, having lot of free time, home office and ability to work from everywhere, clothed as they want.. etc etc, meanwhile i am all my life up to 30 now working like idiot in warehouses doing some s..tty work no one would like to do by its own, forced to work and work and.. even if there is no work, you must find some work .. :) Forced to wear company uniform, forced to come everyday at the same time, forced to not even try to chill for a while... You know, meanwhile i do have much better warehouse job with computer and electronics, but mainly, it is the same thing.. People forcing you to do something (that you have no interest at all but you have to to can live) :)
ОтветитьSubtitles cannot be activated... Activate them please..🙏!! Ty!!
ОтветитьWould you say coding has taken up the same space and level of interest as fashion?
ОтветитьHow To Become a Software Engineer Without a Computer... nice
ОтветитьA very imporantant topic. Thx for this Video.
ОтветитьGreat content !! Can i know how you motivate yourself to learn coding?
ОтветитьThanks for video
Ответитьthanks for the video. totally resonated with ir
Ответитьi recently broke into the tech industry coming from project construction background…its an uphill task but i did enioy making my proejcts during my bootcamp. i enjoy the frontend aspect of it.. and backend ( python & Django)
ОтветитьHi, I am thinking about doing an app in the edtech space and if you can please give me some advice. I am in school and I am learning Maths, Physics and other subjects. My goal is to do an app with the things I am learning, but I don't know which tools I should use. Is there any software that scans my notebook and translates my notes into computer letter? Also, how can I do it efficiently? I was looking to the example of Brilliant, which is kind of what I want to do, but probably a little bit simpler. Thanks for your help
ОтветитьIts crazy cuz my pops is a tech guy has been since before I was born but he's been more of a consultant for over 20 yrs but he warned me to major in CPU science back in high school cuz I took a lot of computer classes in HS, but I didn't want to major because of the Calculus and Physics classes that were required that I didn't want any part of. But Ive been able to code and understand code since I was 14. I had the basics of Front end development (HTML, CSS, JS) on lock at that age. I went into film & TV cuz thats what I really enjoyed and I'm not going to lie, I still enjoy it til this day. But I also like building websites and apps. I was led to believe that I can't do both and I gotta choose one to do for the next 40 years, but I'm not trying to do that at all. Im doing both and the pandemic made that pretty clear when locked down happened. Most CPU science majors are kind of outdated and not updated with the times.
ОтветитьGreat video as always! I’m a senior-level biotech scientist thinking of jumping ship to software. I learned Python a few years ago to solve bioinformatics-type problems at work, and coding has been by far my favorite part of my job ever since. I love building useful programs, and it’s soooo satisfying when everything comes together and works properly. :-)
ОтветитьHey Tiff, love your videos as always. If I may ask, do you have a name or link to the desk mount you are currently using? I am currently looking for one that could accommodate my dual 27inch setup and that seems like a perfect fit.
ОтветитьI'm 38 years old. I live in a small city in Portugal when I finish a IT professional course, I fell in love with programming. But, my health situation wasn't very good and my city didn't have any programming jobs that the time. That was 15 years ago, now I am in a new IT course. I hope this time I make it!
ОтветитьIs it worth it in India
ОтветитьWhat is networking?
ОтветитьAwesome video I’m still new to learning Tec . I’m kind of torn I love learning about coding I also like ui ux design . I work full time in daycare I just learned about coding this year
Ответитьthanks.
Ответитьwhat specification on your macbook laptop....?????????
ОтветитьYou are so 😍💓Beautiful
ОтветитьI want to konw what kind of software engineer you are like- frontend, backend, software, tester?
Ответить2 years ago, begged my mum to tell me what she thought was stressful in her life that could be solved using a Website or an Android app and she said, "Nothing" 🤣. I guess, old people haven't adapted well to the tech world. So tiff, you are not alone
ОтветитьPlease do a roadmap
ОтветитьGreat.
ОтветитьGreat vid 💙
I love you tiff 💖
I love your channel…!
ОтветитьI’m curious what laptop do you have and recommend for coding/programming for a software engineer? I’m looking into investing one during Black Friday sale.
Ответитьi am a cs 1st yr undergrad from india.
ОтветитьThank you very much tiffany 😊.
ОтветитьI have a question about Kotlin. What do you use it for besides Android apps?
ОтветитьComputer fundamentals are important wherever you learn from. Self taught is hard.
ОтветитьBest Information From Ths Inside; Love you Sweetie You Help Me So Much Towards My Goal And Thanks Again ~
ОтветитьYour story inspired me to keep pushing and i'm now a developer as well and sharing my content :) KEEP IT UP !
ОтветитьI've been working as a software engineer since 1999. In my 20 years of experience, half the people in IT do NOT have CS degree. CS degree basically doesn't matter any more. The three skills you need to work in IT
1. problem solving
2. team work
3. communication
If you have these three skills, you can work in IT. I've seen plenty of CS grads fail miserably and get fired because they lacked 1 of the three skills. I've talked to tech leads across the industry and it really doesn't matter. There are tech leads that obsess over degrees, but you don't want to work for those people. They are generally a pain and horribly egotistic. When you interview, if the interviewer obsesses about degree, that's a sign to not work there.
Hi Tiff! Thank you for your content am always super grateful! I was wondering if you had any advice on how to network, what questions to ask, how to stand out etc during a careers week for a bootcamp I am starting next year? Recruiters and other representatives from companies will be present and I have this tendency to be super awkward and go blank when the time comes D:Thanks again Tiff, Love your channel! xx
Ответить"How to become a software engineer without a CS degree"
- "Get a software engineering degree!" 😅
Amazing tips I love your channel finishing school as a web dev and I’m taking all these tips.
ОтветитьCan you please do a video going into detail on how to better network. Im so glad I discovered your channel, you've been a huge inspiration to me.
ОтветитьNice video , 💯
