In 1939 this was the most popular. Just before the boys, who danced with girls, signed up. The ones who made it back were more damaged then anyone than anyone every has admitted.

Imagine to be able to hear this live! Where have the orchestra days gone? My husband and I go to the Grand Hotel every year to get away and dance to the classics. They have a jazz band we enjoy and this song always takes me away. Truly the greatest generation. ❤

Watching The Aviator ending made me aware of a Glenn Miller tune, Moonlight Serenade, my mother would play on the phonograph while stationed with Air Force in Puerto Rico!

I'm 61 years old, a child of the 70's love 70's music, o have young children for my age, a son 22 and a daughter 18, who also love 70's music but when I hear music from the 30's and 40's it just for some reason touches my heart, I joke about it with my kids and say I was reincarnated lol
I was an adopted child, adopted out at 2 years old, maybe my birth mother or grandmother listened to it and I remember it from. them.

I love moonlight serenade it reminds me of my father who I absolutely adored, I miss him every day

I hear this song and although THEY say there is no reincarnation I feel I am transported to the 40"s. So be it it is amazing what this song does to me. I hear it & instantly I am in the 40's. Although my grandparents NECER played this TUNE. It is this song that makes me convinced I LOVED BEFORE.
