I'm getting back into PCs after 10 years of not gaming and the amount of information now is insane.
Ответитьthese cards can make sence, but really only for schools that need a system with dedicated graphics to make CAD and art programs run at faster than a walk. but that's about it, they shouldn't be marketed with gaming in mind.
ОтветитьA pro tip always get a level or two higher than whatever minimum current gen offering from any company, Or get a high end used gpu from a gen or 2 older.
Ответитьthe best deal gpu for me was still taking over the 1070 from my little bro. its still decent and it didnt cost me a single euro.
ОтветитьBought a rtx 2060 in 126usd on 2nd hand market
Ответитьlol.....i just blew some money on a gt 710 ...AND i used also used to sell tires. :D
ОтветитьGreat video incredibly helpful!
ОтветитьMy gaming laptop started crapping out, so I had to dig my old gaming pc out of the closet, rough going to a 2nd gen i5 2400 and a gtx 960...
ОтветитьI agree linus buying used is a great idea.
Ответитьlike i was going to go for a 4060 8gb but then realised i should probably go for the 3060 12gb instead as first off its cheaper second off it will last me way longer for modern games with that juicy 12gb
Ответитьnot gunna lie those 10th gen i3's and i5's go for a killer price used and there very solid performance if your lucky enough to find a 11th or 12th gen i3 or i5 it would be even better normally there going for around 60-100 depending on the i3 and 90-120 for the used i5's
ОтветитьTwo plastic spheres in one video. Congrats.
ОтветитьDude....I just got a rx 6400 yesterday....lemme f'n enjoy it
ОтветитьThis is exactly my observation as well. Bottom-tier, and also entry-level gpu, aren't worth it. IMO the mid-tier gpus pretty much has the most value (unless their price spiked due to low supply and high demand). For Nvidia RTX 3060 ti is pretty much the champ, and for budget A.I. the RTX 3060 12gb (NOT 8gb!) is a good choice.
ОтветитьThey don't call you LTT for nothing. I have been using a 1050Ti for years, but doing a ton of research and familiarizing what benchmarking number mean, I was able to upgrade to a 1070Ti for a fair price. While I could have upgraded to a newer gen, I don't have the money to shell out for a monitor that can do 144hz without DVI (I still need it). And to be honest, it makes me appreciate my system more because it's not the best, but I know it got 3x better just from an gpu upgrade even in the same gen.
ОтветитьRTX 3050: Did you forget about me!- spy team fortress 2
ОтветитьLol I've been watching this channel for years but just realised I was never actually subscribed (I am now!)
ОтветитьI like how in the exact moment you say cheap gpu the bottom of my screen just gets filled with stripes
ОтветитьI've screwed myself a few times trying to shop on a budget. I would buy a low-end computer with the intention of upgrading it later. My first attempt would only fit a low profile video card (in 2008). I wasn't shopping online yet, so I was relegated to what the local store within walking distance had, but he didn't even know what low profile meant (wtf?). So, being relegated to onboard video for gaming, I ditched it and just built a computer from the bottom up. But that was $400 wasted. Then a few years ago, I tried doing the same thing. I told the shop owner what I intended to do, and he just unloaded his shittiest PC he wanted to get rid of on me. I forget the socket, but the CPU was literally soldered into the board. The video card was some entry level Nvidia from several years before that, which he claimed was $400 (it was $120 AT RELEASE). I mean, I rushed into it and did absolutely NO research, so I take full responsibility for this. But needless to say, I'm never giving that guy my business for any reason.
And ultimately, that was my downfall. Not doing the proper research. I was without a computer both times, and desperate, so I jumped on the best deal I (thought) I could haggle.
Another story I just recalled was buying my first LCD monitor about 15 years ago. It had some manufacturing defect that prevented it from displaying in its native resolution, so it just looked god awful. So, I packed it up and WALKED it back to the computer store. And the guy put up a fight when I tried to return it because he didn't understand what the problem was. I mean, really? You work repairing computers and you don't understand native resolution? This was the same guy who didn't know what low profile video cards were. I think he just didn't want to lose the sale. But at the cost of destroying his credibility? Not worth it imo. This was a brick and mortar shop right around 2010, so they were probably struggling.
Me to my RX 6400
"You will play Starfield at 4K and you will like it!" 😂
What annoys me is that the rx 5500 tx is better than a rx 6500 tx
Ответитьanother thing to note is your other hardware, YES, another tier GPU is "nearly the same price", that's true, GPU one tier above or one tier below isn't even that much difference in the price.
However that's on paper, yeah, this tier above GPU gives you 1.5x performance and is nearly the same price, but, does it fit on your case? There are many scenarios where people want to build a decent PC to play most games that have an actual small case, does your Power Supply Unit handle that tier above GPU? I wanted an RX 560/570, and both of them needed a 6x pin PSU connector, if i hadn't investigated about that i would have an actual USELESS GPU because my PSU can't handle above 75W from the PCIe and is really low end PSU it barely handles more than that, is your cooling good enough for that GPU? I have a RX 550, really low end and the temperatures should be fine, and i still average between 70 to 85 °C, can't even imagine if i had put a RX 560 or 570 even 580, is the rest of your system even enough to dish out that GPU's power? Yeah, the above tier GPU is good and all, but if your CPU is not that good it can bottleneck pretty easily, even when using 30% CPU that doesn't mean you're getting all your GPU can offer, in fact, recent games even when the CPU usage is between 10 to 30% the GPU stays between 60 to 90%, which means the CPU doesn't have enough raw power to get that 100% from your GPU, and you stay at like 70FPS when you should be able to get more! All that sums up, and so does the pricing, and don't even get me started on the motherboard compatibility.
Cheap used gtx 1060 a very good gpu
ОтветитьHey you guys should bring back scrap wars they fun to watch
ОтветитьI keep a gt1030 as a backup for an rtx 3070
ОтветитьThe RX 6400 is an underrated card. It was at the time of its release, the fastest LP card you could get and even now the only things that beat it(even if they are better price to perf) are the RTX A2000 and RTX 4060 LP from Gigabyte both of which costs HUNDREDS of dollars more and also use a lot more power. For anyone with one of those cheap/old office PC's with a decent i5 or i7 in them, I would 100% recommend an RX 6400 for them.
ОтветитьHow about making a video about chiness brands vs top tier brands for 3050 and 4060 ?
Ответить👖
Ответитьi think my 5800x3d 2x rx 6400 are much better than a i9-12 3060
ОтветитьYeah for as long as I remember, value for money has never been at the very bottom of the market OR at the very top of the market. Mostly everything in between has at least passable VFM, but if you buy at the bottom you'll be getting a product that's either built so bad it fails or something that's just not up to the task. On the other hand, buying at the very top you'll run into diminishing returns where prices skyrocket but gains are very marginal. My philosophy is if you want cheap, either buy used or buy a little better than the bottom of the barrel, or if you want something really nice, get something that's close to the top but not quite there.
ОтветитьAnthony is awesome
ОтветитьBuy gtx 1080 used for less than 200 bucks
ОтветитьGood tip not for south asian countries
Ответитьwhat's the best low-profile gpu under 60$?
ОтветитьOmg i just found out you were Canadian. I thought you were American😆. Are all your videos in Canadian dollars. If not ca you make some with the prices in Canadian dollars? Thanks🤩
ОтветитьHere i am, i7 9750h nuc and a 1050ti.
Ответитьyou can find 2060s now for 180
ОтветитьA 3600 Ti is a good deal
ОтветитьSorry finding the upgrade visual from a 1030 to a `1080 hilarious because if your thinking about buying a gpu that consumes 30 watts and can therefore be used on a machine with lets say a budget budget psu such as a aresgame or Iwin or an evolabs that will handle the gt 1030 just fine buying a 1080 with that same gpu will cause a fire in about 20 seconds
ОтветитьI have a 780 oc still,it'll push 40 frames on 1440 max up till 2010 games
ОтветитьThese lower end ones are the best for my retro XP machines and the like..:)
Ответитьif u buy something form china and u live in china should it say made local im asking the real questions
ОтветитьWhen Linus spits those weird leftist takes, like "do they hate poor people?", it makes me literally cringe.
ОтветитьReally need some assistance as I am on budget. Heavily modding my skyrim game with graphics and new locations mods, my RX 5600 XT is suffering (even though cp77 runs pretty smooth on 1080p). What do I need to look at in a new GPU considering my needs? I was thinking of ASUS RX 7900 XT or XTX.. and not sure if Asus or Aorus is a huge difference...
My other pc specs are:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600
RAM - 16 GB corsair 3600mhz
Motherboard - B450 Aorus Elite
Power Supply - AORUS P750W 80+ GOLD Modular
I’m currently running an ASUS Rx570 4G , on and asus tuf gaming 450 board with 48 gbs of ddr4 and an 11th gen i7 , what would be a decent upgrade that won’t break the bank? Mostly for Fortnite with my kid.
ОтветитьNothing cheap has good value genius lol
