Food IS a part of happiness, obviously since we would not eat it otherwise.
But it should not be EMOTIONAL. You should eat and the amount and kind of food what you NEED and that automatically good for you and tasty.
Also there is no such thing as "relationship weight". A relationship should ADD to your life's quality, not take it away. Unless your partner is an actual feeder/forces you to eat then do not blame him/her for YOUR irresponsible life choices.

I will be honest with you guys - it's damn hard when you both have different goals and when you have totally different body types. I'm like 157 cm, around 45 kg, strenght training 4 times a week and cardio for 30 minutes 2-3 times a week plus 5-15k steps a day. I keep my diet strict bcs unfortunately i keep all my fat around belly and altough i look relatively fit, the waist looks fat so i'm trying my best to shed the last fat. That means no eating any junk, sweets n stuff like that bcs i gain like crazy even if i allow myself one day a month to eat a cake or idk go for a burger. My bf is 185 cm, barely 67 kg. Back then he was cycling a lot, but past 3 years almost no activities despite long walks. He's damn shredded, although he eats unhealthy as fuck (but still in amount that keeps him skinny). He wants to gain muscle, recently he went into military and trying to eat more healthy and more protein than before but still he would often go to restaurants and eat high caloric stuff bcs he barely gains. I swear to god that it always ended on him eating a lot in restaurant, ordering food, me cooking healthier sweets for him and me watching him eating without trying myself lol or rarely eating sth with him and then be sad that i ruined my effort and for bloated as fuck. It's really hard for both of us and we're trying to support each other
