Hell House [No Healing, Normal] - Final Fantasy 7 Remake

When he uses an elemental barrier, he becomes highly resistant to physical attacks, but weak to magic of the opposite element to his barrier. The key to this fight is to play it kinda like Pokemon and use spells that are "super effective" against his current barrier. Fire opposes ice, and wind opposes lightning. If you ever have trouble telling which is which, press the touchpad to pull up the assess info and it will tell you. He always starts with fire barrier, so ice magic will wear him down quickly. You can also poison him!

In the second phase, he always starts off with a charging attack. It's intimidating, but it's 100% avoidable by just running away. I chose to counter for some ATB and extra damage. In this phase, instead of just adopting an element barrier, he'll also do an attack associated with that element. For example, he may do Housing Shock which is a charging attack imbued with lighting element. Same as before, cast the opposite magic, but while he's doing the move. This will pressure him, though it won't interrupt his attack so still be prepared to avoid/block it before capitalizing on the pressure.

In the third phase, he'll start entering God House Mode, which is a barrier that make him almost immune to damage. You can wait it out, or you can destroy one of his limbs to force him out of it and pressure him. Aside from that, it's the same deal as phase 2.

In the fourth phase, he'll use Heavensward, a move that has him flying around the arena while shooting chairs. You can avoid the chairs by simply running around. After one and a half rotations he'll charge himself with one of the four elements and use Hellbound. It's a pretty dangerous attack, but you can interrupt him by casting the appropriate spell. He'll fall to the ground where you can finish him off.

This is part of a video series of the challenge run I'm doing for my first playthrough of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, where I play through the whole game without healing in battle. It's really fun!
