One example: "the best perk in speech" as recommended by the video author is Silver Tongue. But all it does is to give better haggling prices.

Silver Tongue appears to give you a temporary 80% bonus to your Speech (x1.80) while you are haggling. So, if you have 10 Speech you get +8 Speech (18 total).

Another example:

Infamous is good if you are playing a good guy - you get better reputation increase. Skill points doesn't matter as the are capped with level 20. So quite the opposite as you were saying...

I went with light armor thinking i'd be a dodge god.
Sadly dodging wont leave nearly as many opportunities for jabs like parry does unless you carry a spear. Luckily Vernon Roache hat makes the set look good so i got used to being a fast greatsword parry guy instead.

i think savage is much better than burgher, since it sums up to A LOT more than burgher. burgher is still good though.
i guess it depends on a few factors: do you play hardcore? do you fasttravel a lot? do you beeline the quests or do you waste a ton of hours on exploring? do you go for a bit jack-of-all-trades, or do you specialize in something with a clear vision of what you want henry to be?
id say if youre out a lot because you like to explore a lot, play hardcore, specialize or dont fasttravel use savage.
if you like to fasttravel, beeline the story, dont know what to specialize in and/or dont play hardcore, go burgher.
if its a combination of the above (which is most likely i guess) then its up to you, not really either better than the other imo
however savage sums up to a much bigger benefit in the long run, if you play for longer. thats why id recommend it. burgher is basicly useless in most of the hours spend on the game, but its very useful for those quest conversations, which might benefit you more depending on your playstyle

Is it possible to get all the skills in the game or is there an limit?
I am beginning my adventure and i just want to know how much careful i need to be with my points.
And i assume that after 5 years many game mechanics changed isn't it?

I honestly think that the Human Dustbin is a wasted perk.
From my experience, i carry some dried food and honey with me but its super easy to keep fed because there is just so many cooking pots and not to mention random food drops from bandits and such...
I dont really loot normal food anymore.

Forester + stuffing can make your visibility, conspic, and noise become 0 while in forests with the benefit of heaving some armour on.

Sprinter is probably the best perk in the game. It speeds up everything else you do. The problem with marathon man is that it slows you DOWN from BASE just to get more sprint duration, and by the same percent change. This means that sprinter, base, and marathon man all have nearly the same distance traveled per stamina point. Sprinter is just 20% more sprint speed for no sacrifice. They should have made marathon man keep your sprint speed the same just to get it competitive with sprinter, and I would still pick sprinter.

I prefer not to choose between some conflicting perks, neutral is a better choice than damaging my perfect 20.

For Drinking, there's a case to be made for Wine Bibber and Top Shelf since Spirits are very cheap and give a buncha Hunger and Energy, but makes you pretty drunk. So does Fine Wine, but it's significantly more expensive, but you can stumble upon it without much trouble in the field. Allows you to keep yourself going without having to concern yourself about sleep and food because you can just drink your problems away. Often times for free even

You’re wrong about burger. Savage is better. The +1 to speech in towns can be made up for in different ways, everything else is wasted outside of the tournament. But +1 to strength, speed, agility and speech will be much more useful when you’re away from civilisation.

I totally recommend sprinter as well as basically all maintenance perks. The seven mile boots plus sprinter is a great combo.

Replaying in 2023 and this game is still awesome even though the pop in is ridiculous and it could definitely use a next gen update

Avoid Human Dustbin like the plague, apart from there being plenty of pots that give you 25 nourishment, there are plenty of dried foods that never spoil and if you have the Beer Bibber or Wine Bibber you can drink to fill yourself and not get too drunk to affect your balance. My Henry had nothing but wine for most of the game.

Silver Tongue - no it wont rise your speech skill continously. It just rises it FOR/DURING haggling process so you will just get better price. It wont help you lvl up.speech as me and many other players thought.

Pickpocket is the best thing for money besides lockpick just because u can take ur money back after u buy stuff, I've taken back thousands of gr in one pick, it is hard at first but after like level 4 as long as u don't hold the button long and they aren't looking at you your fine I'm at level 20, once u hit even like level 8 u can hold the button pretty long almost 10 seconds

Once you get to about level 15 in stealth it just doesn’t matter anymore you can literally walk up to someone while wearing full plate armor walk around behind them and stealth kill them and it will never fail

Furious has been changed to "the more you're wounded, the stronger your attacks"

Lockpicking is Very hard in play 4

Venomous blade paired with rusted blade is powerful.

Quick little looting tip:
When you've gone a bit overboard, both you and your horse are fully encumbered but you've still got like a hundred points of weight you need to shed..
Don't just dump everything out on the floor. Dump it into some form of storage, be it a chest or even a corpse. It will help your hardware by not overcooking it while dumping a massive amount of items into the world at once.

Crouching Chameleon is very useful for pickpocketing and hunting. A nice tip for raising your skill in pickpocketing is to just do it every time the game auto-saves. There's always someone around and it's nice to just do a quick reload every time you fail.

Watching this realizing they buffed quite a few skills n some used to be OP like the drinking one loose tongue went from 50%( which is great if your wearing high charisma clothing) now to just 1 point on that and speech which kinda sucks

I think Savage is better than Burgher since you spend most of your time in the forests. Also, it helps with the mission All That Glisters. Brute is quite good cus it really helps in that one boss fight with runt. Scout 1 is enough to fast travel without running into enemies. Apart from that the basic skills you can unlock are acetic and mule at the beginning. However, do keep in mind that these are only required to finish the main story. If you are the type of person who wants to fight every bandit then you may want to invest in some other skills. I invested a lot in speech. Empathetic is a skill you want. Also, be sure to speak to as many NPCs as possible since it increases speech stats. A speech level of 8 with the added main level perk of Savage is enough to diplomatically get yourself out of a sticky situation whether you're in a town or in the woods

Routine II is so broken. I can brew around 180 potions per minute (you have to prepare after autobrewing to let you tap right back into reading the recipe)

Level up lock picking at the start of the game then once you get radzigs sword while escaping from skalitz kill the cumans on horse back to level up early finish the beginning once at rattay (the luck of the drunk perk is needed) rob the vendors I would go for sword smith and armor smith you will def find a thousand grouchen. Go to nehouf buy horse (I usually buy buchephalus cause his carrying capacity and affordability) continue main quest

Know I’m kinda late but just started don’t know if it changed from when thos bid released or what but I love pick pocket key is in the initial set up u have to hold the action button I suppose E on pc to give urself more time in their pocket let the green turn a bit red don’t be afraid of it that way u have more time in the pocket to get in and more important time to get OUT

Also, to pickpocket effectively, pickpocket sleeping people and wayfarers on the road, wayfarers are super easy.

After playing this game for over 30 hours so far, I just discovered I have a bunch of unused perk points. Lol, nothing told me earlier in the game about getting perks.

I preferred savage to burgher because it gives me three boosts that are more useful out of town against bandits etc where as your way only speech is the only useful skill which is improved.

But who needs to carry food when the stuff in pots is free and regenerates and you can just eat food from dead people
