Eric Nykamp, LMSW, BFA is a therapist, adjunct professor, antiracism educator and producer of the Antioch Podcast: Conversations About Biblical Antiracism. Eric will be delving into the White Racial Identity Development Model developed by Dr. Janet E. Helms which outlines six stages that white people tend to move through as they develop an increasingly antiracist identity. If you are a white person interested in growing in your antiracism journey, this presentation will help you look at where you might be in your development as an antiracist, and what kinds of ideas and questions you could challenge yourself with as you continue to grow. This presentation will also ask questions about what an organization might look like if most of the white people in that organization are at one of the stages of development, and how that organization might function in a diverse world. This presentation is open to all people at any stage of their antiracism journey. Be aware that the content of this presentation will be specifically addressing people who identify as white.
