Players don’t have healthy breaks anymore. When I was a kid you had a World Cup or European Championships in June - July every 2 years. Now in Europe they have added the Nations League, and big clubs have huge Pre-Season tours to the USA or Asia to maximise the commercial revenue of fans there.

When you mention it, people clap back that the players get six figures a week so they should be fine with it.

American living in their bubble not realizing football is bigger than every major religions combined, more people buy tickets to see their teams every weekend than people going to (insert your religion place of faith here), more people in the world know who CR7 and Messi are than people know who Christ or Mohamed are. If you think Michael Jordan made Nike the biggest sportswear brand in the world well think again, the money made in and around Footbal is insane, the UEFA makes more money every year than 75% of the countries in the world

If the first place team is enough points away from the second place team they are crowned champions before the season ends, i suggest watching the english premier league where title races are often very close and hard fought, we’re at the halfway point of the 23/24 season and in my opinion any of the top 5 could lift the title.

From Ireland here. Due to the popularity of the Champions League for all Europe, the cup competition has been diminished because the big money is in the European games. So most teams try and finish in the top 3 or 4 places in their league which usually gets them into a European slot. So a given team would prefer to to finish third or fourth in their league, rather than play in a cup final. If a team in Ireland say gets in to a pre European Cup competition each round they can get by will give them a half million Euro. So it is very lucrative for smaller European teams to get through 3 or 4 rounds with gate receipts on top of the guaranteed money. Also remember that the 2nd and 3rd divisions in the bigger European countries attract enormous crowds as well. All teams fighting to get in to the big league.

The video didn't mention there's also the Europa League and since a couple of years the Conference League as well and how those work. Because the nummer 3's in the group stage of the Champions League get a spot in the Europa League. And the number 3's in the Europa League get a spot in the Conference League.
But to qualify for the Conference League you have to win the cup as mentioned in the video or be in the top 3 or so of your country's league, without becoming champion of course.
For the Europa League there's another system where it mostly depends on where you finish in your country's top league. Somewhere between position 2 through 6 can get you a shot at a spot in the Europa league. But as I mentioned before there are losing teams (number 3's) from the Champions League trickling down in the Europa League since it's considered a lesser tournament. As is the Conference League compared to the Europa League, so that's why losing teams from the Europa League trickle down to the Conference League.

The champions league is a battle for the best but sometimes the ref decision can mean a move to the next step, for example in this seasons Championship hames a bad decision along with bad luck in front of goal cost my team Newcastle United. But seeing that we did not expect to be in the European Chapionship for at least another 2seasons thats ok. But in Football nothing is garenteed and that is the beauty of the world of Football

The cup games can really be something else sometimes. There's always a different atmosphere and wild things happen frequently. Since there can't be a tie in the cup, the games often take wild turns. If overtime doesn't solve it, they have a shoot-out. Amateur teams kick out the big guys way too seldom, but it happens and is always great - no matter what side you're on.

The German league relegation and promotion is different, only the bottom 2 in the German Bundesliga (The German Top Division) are automatically relegated, the team 3rd from bottom (16th place) go into a play-off with the 3rd place team in the 2.Bundesliga (The German 2nd tier) if the team in the Bundesliga wins this play-off then the teams involved in the play-off stay where they are, but if the 2.Bundesliga team wins then the teams involved in the play-off switch leagues.

the german relegation system is actually a little more elaborate than displayed in the video. The bottom two teams of the first division get relegated and replaced by the top two teams of the second division instantly. However, the 3rd worst team in the Bundesliga (highest german division) has to play somewhat of a mini relegation playoff series (1 home game, 1 away game) against the 3rd best team of Bundesliga 2 (second highest german division). Whoever comes out on top at the end of those two matches plays in Bundesliga the next season.

Yes, you may know in advance who has won the league. Sometimes you have mathematical champions. Or it may happen that two or several matches in the last day are key to know who wins.

Americans are so clueless about the rest of the world that it shocks me, in such a globalized era that we live in, it's like they live in their own bubble closed off to the rest of the world, I find that really weird, they have no idea that football/soccer is not only loved in Europe but in the whole world, there are literally billions of people who follow this sport, the US is definitely weird.

Usually you will end up with a favourite team in a country, you will not usually pay attention to other teams than that and their closest competition and rivals.

Also European matches are not usually the most passionate, those will be old rivalries for various reasons, such as location and history.
