Certainly could make NW-7000 work if needed for basic narration. But, it's also quite an extreme comparison, with many higher quality USB mics still well under $100. I understand the purpose of the video was to contrast the more extreme differences, but a mention of the mid-level options is something I usually expect from Tech Notice.

Usually demonstrating something like this over the air is silly, like videos that try and show you $5000 OLED video quality on your home $500 TV, this is kind of the same. We all have different quality audio devices playing your sound. But all that aside, the $30 one sucks.

Neewer nw-700 doesn't work tho, even with the phantom power 48v they provided it does fkall, it shows up as an output device but not as an input device, I've worked like 12 hours to find a way to make it work but literally nothing does. I'm at a loss. considering the price I don't really care but it literally just doesn't work lmao

USB mic generally expect it to sound thinner than XLR. I got expensive ones, and they really sound a bit similar to that Newer 😆

Mic accessories is more important than the mic it self. Low cut can only limited work. Better than nothing. Before AI comes out, some mic is sometime over charged.

Can any1 help i bought i bought a $30 mic called trust gxt 232 mantis. I was listening on yt how it sounds i hear it very well so i bought it.
So i tested it and you can hear it but on dc you see it turn green but you can hear it very well so they cant hear me help

Please look up exactly what phantom power does.
The short version is that the condenser microphone needs to have an active amplifier inside. The 48volts is a standard value, but it will actually run on 5v. Nearly all preamps and consoles supply 48 volts.

I dont hear any noise, it just sounds louder. thats it between the mics, the cheaper one sounds louder

take a look at the SUDOTACK ST-800. for $50 it sounds pretty great and it comes with a pop filter, boom arm, and a shock mount.

oh I sure can hear a sound difference and the neewer annoys my ears... My Studio Headphones are quite honest in playing sound... I guess I couldn't call them Studio Headphones if they wouldn't, huh? xD

The SE has a more of a base sound. Sounds better in my opinion.

wow that Neewer is bad. Maybe if you're listening through laptop speakers you wouldn't hear that the low and low mids totally disappear and a weird resonance is introduced. Much worse than I expected. The X1 wasn't great, but day and night difference.

I don't know i want to record hardcore and punk, so this thing do the work, in the context of a mix with fast guitars, drums and bass, those little noises can't make any difference i think.

definitely I hear. NW 7000 sounds so flat and mostly in mid range. And that white noise... Like a very cheap stuff even for streams. If I should choose between nw7000 and smth else, I would choose $35 lavalier mic

Didnt hear a difference on my phone speakers, plugged in the astro aux and there is an obvious winner. The pricier one sounds clean

I like the cheap sounds with their little touch (noise etc) , "good" sounds are everywhere and boring.
