Edit: found a solution for it by turning off metered connection, but then my PC is not showing up in my phone's list of available devices

Bro but i connect my ethernet cable to the laptop and use wifi from it....won't it work?

I have Android 12 and the settings do not show a screencast feature, even on searching for features.
