I have a question related to tank autoloaders. The carousel contains pre-loaded rounds in an order. What if, after firing a HEAT round, the gunner wants to fire an APFSDS round which is somewhere in the middle of the magazine. How shall the gunner fire the APFSDS round if there are other rounds loaded before it?

apparently, the T 90 gained the ability to cook off on mines, at least there a few ukraine videos showing mines ejecting the turret, probably putting the auto loader closer to the thin bottom is not a good idea either...

Auto loaders are great. When the tank armor gets penetrated, all the ammo explodes and the turret reaches for the stars. Russians have had 80 years to fix it but didn't.

The autoloading system is mainly used to blow the turret into the air
