I hope someone makes a video of this for Sousou no Frieren one day
ОтветитьI’m a little late here, but I watched Violet Evergarden years ago. Every time I tried to show my friends the absolute MASTERPIECE that it is, they always ended up on their phones because it wasn’t the usual ‘comedic and bright and happy’ animation they’d normally liked and seen. I need to sit some of them down, throw their phones in a bucket, and make them watch this incredible show again. But REALLY watch it this time. Violet Evergarden had made me cry so many times. It’s beautiful.
ОтветитьThis video is so incredibly well-researched - I'm in awe! Great job!
ОтветитьViolet Evergarden is undoubtedly the best 2D animation production I have seen so far with little sprinkle of CGI.
I have started loving anime since watching Beyond The Boundary, one of Kyoani works, and then Violet Evergarden light the fire inside me to become animator. And that's what I am practicing hard right now, all thanks to Kyoani works.
But I also know that it wouldn't be easy to match Violet Evergarden production quality, I think I may need at least 10 years experience in animation to even match 30% of Kyoani work quality.
Violet Evergarden is a pure masterpiece, and I am waiting for them to do the same feat for their upcoming anime. And also, thanks to this channel for covering the journey of Violet Evergarden production
Well done. I feel like there's something for everyone in Violet's character. Violet Evergarden is someone we all are, people/human beings working all the time, not in a physical job, but internally to find our inner selves, feelings we keep most of the time locked up. The series also shows how many simple things we've updated and have lost their meaning, like our ways of communicating. In an age of electronics, Violet Evergarden reminds us that it's the human hands value that really counts in life.
ОтветитьThis was wonderfully done, thank you!
ОтветитьViolet Evergarden is stunning, absolutely beautiful. A true masterpiece.
ОтветитьExcellent documentary, this series has always been dear to my heart, and hearing the music alone stirs emotions in me.
The legacy of Kyoto animation will forever live on in this series.
No anime has made me cry more than Voilet evergarden
ОтветитьThis video is a triumph.
ОтветитьThis was beautiful.
ОтветитьM as of right now I have to say that nothing the US really puts out is as good or even comes close to the quality of Kyoto animation especially Violet Evergarden is a shame at the state of the US entertainment industry tour it’s falling so far behind Japan and it’s entertainment industry
ОтветитьI just want to say that I like to sit and listen to analysis videos while I work or write or play games, and I clicked on this on a whim because the thumbnail was an aesthetic I loved, and I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I watched this video fully, and then again, and them again, and then went and watched the anime. It fit every box I wanted filled, every little thing I wanted to see, happened in some way (except the thing w Gilbert being over 30 and violet being 14), and I was so in love. Violet Evergarden has been my favourite anime for 2 years now, and probably always will be, and I will always have a place for it in my heart. Thank you Under The Scope for introducing me to this wonderful world
ОтветитьWhenever I hear words "Violet Evergarden" I got a goosebumps. I'll always remember this anime until I die.
Ответитьwhy i love kyoani is because the design is very human

ОтветитьSo violet evergarden is the lord of the rings but animation verison.
Aka its one in a lifetime creation something that's never ever going to be replicated.
The best movie ever and animation are at god level beautiful voilet
Ответитьthis videos a masterpiece in itself.
ОтветитьExceptionally video! Really well done and very enjoyable. Thank you for this great piece of information.
ОтветитьThis is beautiful, thank you so much. 50 minutes with Violet Evergarden isn't too long, it's just the blink of an eye.
ОтветитьThis is one of the most well written videos Ive ever seen
ОтветитьA story of understanding peoples heart. I am invested to this anime so much because somehow I can relate to it as well as a desire to feel and find a person that can makes me understand what true love means.
ОтветитьA legendary master piece with leasons and emitions unlike anyother i have every seen!
Ответитьits on netflix.
ОтветитьThis is and always will be my favorite anime of all time
ОтветитьMe before starting violet Evergarden: Wow, the animation is really pretty. It must be a touching love story or something. Maybe I should give it a try sometime.
Me after watching it: Why you gotta make me cry every 20 minutes bro-
I haven't seen the original Japanese dub & can't judge it, but I don't know if I want to watch Violet Evergarden with subtitles, because they would personally take attention away from the beautifully stunning artwork. Plus, the English dub is absolutely fantastic.
ОтветитьBy far one my favorite animation wish there was more
ОтветитьAttacking KyoAni is basically asking for everyone to hunt you down
ОтветитьI will really miss those people's who make us have so many feels , kyoto animation will be my favourite studio :') I'll get there some day
Ответитьthe ultimate proof that cgi can be good
ОтветитьBeautifully done video. My hall of fame anime, hands down.
Does anyone know if the art of Violet Evergarden has been released as a book, like for the Studio Ghibli and Makoto Shinkai movies? I don't mind if it's in japanese.
For me the story is what eavy solder faces that ptsd of the mind. When we return home .. the show may have a girl as the star.. but I feel it's small part of me on screen. Rediscovering my humanity..
ОтветитьBeautiful.
ОтветитьThis is honestly almost an official Making Of video. You made a perfect video. There is nothing that you missed. And about what you said about how good this show is... I lost my grandmother at the beginning of this year, and I decided to rewatch this show before the final movie came out online on Netflix. What a a fucking emotional experience I had. It's truly about grief, overall. You understand that they nailed everything when you go through the process of loss. I'll be forever grateful to KyoAni staff, including those who died two years ago. This is honestly one of the best anime shows I've seen in my life, and I hope that will remain untouched in the future.
ОтветитьIdk how but even watching a behind the scenes of Violet Evergarden nearly brings me to tears
ОтветитьI just watched the series straight a few weeks ago and I just finished the movie, I am not kidding when I say I brawled like a baby. Violet Evergarden is truly an emotionally beautiful masterpiece.
ОтветитьCame back here after watching the movie... now, i can see the legacy of violet evergarden.
ОтветитьA masterpiece of anime, my favorite for sure!
ОтветитьHonestly the best anime on Netflix
ОтветитьAhh man, a year and it still stuck on with me. There are lots of animes that do make you get teary but to me, Violet Evergarden Holds a special place, it didn't just made me cry, it had this piercing feeling in my chest for days. This entire series and movie excel at showing how painful it is to watch the people that are affected by the death of someone they know, instead of watching a character die in front of you, its just amazing how only few episodes are enough to make you feel for a character who won't show up in the next episodes. Every time Violet meets a client, she gains a piece for herself, something that turns her into what she is now which sorta builds up to the last movie and how she has changed from what Gilbert thought she still is as said in the video. The last movie kind of hurt me on a personal level especially her last client, the only difference is that, my friend who had died from a cancer in his leg that spread out to his lungs couldn't say his last words because of a treatment which lead him into a vegetative state. Knowing the guy, after his passing, anyone who's been friends with him would know, that he would probably say something like, "don't be sad just because I'm gone, be happy that I spent my times happy with you guys even when I was sick," Even the guy's last wish was to meet all his friends. It definitely was fun while it lasted, from screeching during dota 2 sessions together, memeing his first time having to use a wheelchair, or the times when I had to do a big high school project with him where our consulting teacher was a hot tempered widow who wouldn't leave a single lesson without screaming, and also the times we'd push his wheelchair in an accelerating manner down the hallways. The fact that the movie got released a month after his passing is just rubbing salt in the wound >:(. It really hurts whenever you start thinking about the, "what if he was alive," "what would it look like when we would have college reunions," "how much longer could have I played video games with him?" But honestly, we all knew his last wish did got fulfilled, and knowing that, that special someone's passed peacefully, is satisfying enough for me to nullify that pain.
man I've never really kept a journal or talked to anyone about his full story like this with anyone, though I wouldn't be lying if I said I didn't write this down crying, it really made me feel better and help me find closure as well.
also
whenever she gets into this clingy state, its not cute at all, it just... hurts, its kind of sad watching that there's only one person who could make her like this. Whenever she's in this clingy state you're always expecting a disappointing revelation. But glad that the ending turned out great :')
