a really cool thing they could do is add a tech tree that required zombies to research
so you basically have to sacrifice your dupes and risk a zombie outbreak.

You mentioned the "Long Commutes" message being unavoidable--I'm pretty new to the game, but is there a super strong reason you can't make small bedrooms near your distant tasks, and assign dupes to them while you have business there?

About those zombie plants, sporechids... I believe they're pronounced spore-kid. Like spore + orchid. Sporchid.

Easy way to deal with slime is to create an airtight room and slightly over pressurise it with only chlorine, build your containers in there.
