i just got the chills when the intro was over

Lore I decided to make on terraria (it's not accurate at all, just blurting out all my ideas on the lore)




Millenia ago, a vessel was formed out of reality. Not a normal vessel, but a vessel of worlds. Something the universe has never seen. A planet, which created and destroyed worlds within it. Before any form of humanity or animality thrived, there lived a race of dryads. The dryads were a rather enigmatic race, more a tribe. The tribe consisted of spirits of nature, taking the form of a nymph in the woods. They went in one big group, flourishing and helping nature thrive, until the perpetrator of the true story arrived. One of the last elder gods, 'Moon Lord', was there to stop any form of prosperity, as he feared they would initiate the prophecy. A prophecy in which a man, or woman, would reach the power to take grasp of the fragments of the stars, and use it against him. Repeating it, over and over, stealing the Moon Lord of his riches and weapons, throwing him into an endless loop of torture and suffering. So he killed them all. Every single dryad he could see, but he missed one. One who would be there until the end of time, because she would live to ally with the foretold entity. She looked around carefully, yet carelessly, hoping that the Moon Lord wasn't looking for her. Thankfully, he gave up.

The dryad travelled the world, finding a jungle, beaches, and some things beyond fascinating.

SHIMMER

A beautiful lavender-coloured and sparkly pond. Around, she could see trees that supposedly formed with gemstones, and two heart-shaped crystals. She grabbed a crystal, and threw it into the pond. After a few seconds and a pop of light, she was surprised to see that it transmuted. It turned from a red, fragile crystal to a pink, beautiful one. She threw another object, this time, some cactus. This time, it emerged with pumpkin! She was amazed. "Such an amazing entity shouldn't exist! This can make harvesting and gathering materials infinitely easier!" She created a rope down to the shimmer, going below the beach. After accidentally letting go of the rope, she had fallen in. Instead of falling in like you would with normal water, she slipped right through the water and the stone holding the pond. She phased until she got to a cave under the shimmer.

THE UNDERGROUND

The dryad stood up, disoriented and confused. She denied that happened, and begun exploring. In the cave were, strangely, chests and more heart shaped crystals. She walked around, gathering everything she could, until she heard some boney clicking and clacking. She tried to look carefully into the darkness, only to see a skeleton. She hurriedly ran anywhere she could, as long as it was far from the thing and near the top. She had no idea what she was doing, until she saw the light of day. She sighed with relief, until she heard what seemed to be footsteps and a human voice. "Crap. It's the person from the prophecy, better hide."

I actually thought that the day music was the main theme lol

It'd be cool if the original title theme played when you first started the game. But when you beat wall of flesh, the title theme changes to the original console version. And when you beat moon lord, it changes to journey's end theme.

I just got this game a few days ago, and judging by what the comments are saying, I missed out on one hell of a journey didn't I?

Well, at least I get to see the end of it.

Still prefer the oldest console version.

ngl I don't find this nearly as effective as the original title screen because where this one tries to hype you up, the original has this sense of anxiety and conquest to it. the last 20 or-so seconds of this one actually channel that pretty well but I shall not be swayed

It is the best music in the world

This theme is is amazing. It give me the goosebumps and vibes of an ending journey.

lol its so funny reading the old comments from people who thought that 1.4 was the end XD

The first time i booted this game up, which is about a montj ago, i heard this. I thought "Thats a pretty cool soundtrack, i like it." i listened to jt while creating my first character and world. My character was named "Quandale" and my world had a very basic name of "my first world". My world is still named that, but "Quandale" was changed to "The Zoologist". I finished the game a couple days ago and oh boy was it an experience (on classic mode not journey) when i first entered i thought "oh, i chop down trees and build a house, go mining? Dont tell me i bought 2d minecraft..." Boy was i wrong, i got hooked onto the game. FAST. I made my friend buy the game and we allways have a blast playing

I feel like the opening is a parody of the THX opening

Somehow I still get a "nostalgia" by this music even if it's one my first times playing Terraria.

Remember starting the game , hearing this song then the game creashed , alaways :'))

God, I remeber being excited every weekend to go on my big bros xbox 360 we shared to play terraria. I reber practically beating the game, being being to access all the items in the game. It was a great point of my life I can never forget.

This music only serves to remind me how much this game has changed over the years, and how much I enjoyed to watching terraria grow and be part of this community. Even if I don't actively serve any purpose in making a dent in the community, I still enjoyed it so much growing up. Good on you terraria. Thanks for shaping who I am today <3

After 1 and a half years, switch players get to hear this masterpiece

I like the old version better. :/
