ОтветитьI think they need to take a look at their other dungeons. Rather than having an entire sprawling base made of single blocks, they could make it a few large prefabs and have the destroyable bits in key areas...

ОтветитьPerformance depends on a lot of factors in Conan.
From what you said about hardware I can say that, your CPU is a bit weak for the 3060. But it also depends on the resolution you're running.
Also settings are a bit high, but I get why, you need to push picture quality for the videos. And it being a Beta could also have it's tool on performance.
Other than that, keep up the work man! I love your videos!

ОтветитьLooks alright. But that fps.. maybe the inside should've been instanced, max a player count per, I'm thinking. Maybe even each wing of the fortress its own instance. I don't mind a loading screen going through a door.
And it needs prisoners (Damsels in destress) to free at random points, force an explore to find them.. could make random ones special thralls even.
Dungeon levels too, would've been cool.

I like that you can wreck the entire base, not just the doors and gates. But honestly, the building itself looks rather dull and generic. A shame. They should let you build it^^

Dropping in frames is no surprise. If there was just one thing that this game needs it’s better optimization! I just wonder if it’s technically feasible or not…
ОтветитьThe sound when bashing the door is so poor. The impact is still like cutting butter compared to the Souls games. It's still feels dead.
ОтветитьThe way they built the fortress is a mess, stacking foundations causes performance issues. Taking into account the bad coding for foundations that makes them render as 64 building pieces eats your performance. Rebuild it using pillars, fence foundations and ceiling pieces and you will see a big performance increase. Either way it looks like a fun mechanic and event to do and will be good to get a lot of gold to loot.

ОтветитьFor me, this chapter is good only for the tavern content... sieging a fortress alone on with maximum 2 thralls (playing solo) is ridiculous... the problem is that guys on funcom have to add features to assembly a little army and use it for the siege, I hope they will add this feature in next chapter, for now I'll enjoy the tavern.
ОтветитьYou only need to break 1 wall to get to the main "loot" chamber. The rest is accessible through climbing.

So far the Exiled Lands got a new dungeon and this new fortress but the Isle Of Siptah got none... I wish Funcom would show Siptah more love - I'm not a fan of the Exiled Lands and I will always play the game on Siptah exclusively. I think the tower on Siptah could make a great dungeon - fighting your way to the top of it where you then have to battle Siptah the Sorcerer.
And building a fortress like the one in the video wouldn't be much work for Funcom to implement it on SIptah too. And the loot still isn't good eneough - give us more recipes that you can only unlock in certain really hard dungeons.
Is there anything preventing me from arriving straight to the boss room through a "back door"? (With a flying demon and some bombs.)

ОтветитьJust a but of advice, theres never really any legit reason to use ultra settings across the board, most settings at high is more than enough for a great visual experience comparable to ultra without the loss of fps

ОтветитьIN agreement. That old change to distance of activation of the NPCs is coming back to haunt.
I do like the new aditions though. Yes, performance Urgh!, but the concept is amazing and a certain feature for PvE'ers. There certainly should be a boost of the NPC numbers in my opinion. I would also like to see some really tough areas within the castle itself. I would also love seeing a 'retribution' flag mechanic - where there is a chance of survivors from the fortress could follow you back from the fortress to your base to do a retribution strike - the more times you attack the fortress, the higher the retribution strikes. There could also be some wandering hordlettes about the fortress just patrolling the area.
The devs are being a bit lazy, especially taking into context a chapter 4.. i vote include a fourth chapter for age of sorcery.
Ответитьthe admin builder has blocks stacked inside each other. Dismantle it with your build hammer in solo and you'll see many blocks like this in the lower foundations.
ОтветитьIt's for PvE (Single player/Co-op) players. Again it's a beta and they kept the soldier count to a minimum. They want at least over 100 soldiers in their... Also they really want to add a reinforcement system which if you take too long reinforcements will come

ОтветитьI can barely run game 30-35 fps during purges. So performance might be real issue for me. Im alrdy low-medium settings. Thank god i find tavern system much more interesting than this. Sure i would like get my hands on all the gold in the final boss room. But i think it wont be worth of it, if i have to play whole thing below 30 fps.

I wish they had asked you to build a BEAUTIFUL Stygian style base there or even a pyramid and not those rotten stone walls there which are not only ugly but also far from stygian style. And 2. I wish they would place the building as ONE model where only the doors and windows are destructible to avoid these severe lags. :/
ОтветитьI like this concept a lot. I'm worried that people will build mega bases next to the castle though. If they do the this part of the map with probably become unplayable. I really hope that I'm proven wrong.
Ответитьi miss the old raids we had on our bases... i see no reason from a roleplay veiw to call a purge, i mean if im building a new kingdom why would i say to the world that i have gold stored away? at least with the old some of the factions that live in the exil lands attacktd, like the lemurians and ape men, the cultis of sobek was truly a horror to face in numbers! this seams fun for a few times but get's boring fast.. nice vid thoug!

Ответитьok, so as they said multiple times in the stream, once this hits live it will be an army and the archers will be implemented, they stated during the stream that the Beta will not be an exact 1 for 1 with the finished build, but will instead be a framework.

ОтветитьOn testlive the fortress is not very tough, but while chapter two was still being tested players were soloing level x purges, compared to them now.

I play Solo so I think I'll pass on this Raid until Funcom gets the performance under control.
Looks fun, but worried about that performance. Girlfriend and I play together on a private server on PS5, so concerned about the performance.
