ОтветитьI don't know how I got here but I am glad I did, you are outstanding. some of your stuff reminds me of my childhood in the 80s. Art from the airwalk shoe company and the famous running man art style was some of my favoritte throughout my life and I see that in your work, You are a true artist that had mastered the art of art.
ОтветитьNice work man!
Ответитьon the topic of brushes, one thing that many award wining miniature painters do is use cheap brushes for about 80 percent of the work and then use a nice brush for non metallic metals (normal painters just call it painting metal haha) and finer details since the cheap brushes dont perform as well at small scale but for the majority of the work its fine
ОтветитьAre you gonna make 8 more of those and make a 3 × 3 piece of art with 9 different faces?
ОтветитьThis was so helpful thank you TH <3
ОтветитьThank you so much for the brush recommendations! I hate blowing my paycheck on a couple of brushes.
ОтветитьI would LOVE to do a collab on this piece!! probably add some sort of dark surrealistic vibes to it.
ОтветитьHey, one top in thinning acylic. As you mention at the beginning of the video, adding too much water makes the paint kind of bloom out and give you less control. Also adding water thins out the paint binder and makes it easier to not adhere as well to the surface in the long run. SO here's what I do instead! Thin your acrylic not with water, but with Golden's AIRBRUSH MEDIUM! It has a nearly water like consistency so it's great for thinning paint down more, BUT it's adding more paint binder to the mix as it thins, meaning it will avoid some of those problems of thinning with too much water! Give it a try and you'll see what I mean!

The liner brushes traditional name is called a RIGGER brush. It was a made to help paint the long lines of righing ropes on paintings of ships and sails. Ta daaa 😊.😊
Ответитьlol I looked up the Jerry Q brushes on Canadian Amazon - since this video came out, the seller jacked up the price by 72%. Sigh.
ОтветитьAmazing !! I LOVE your art👏👏👏
ОтветитьThis is great! Would love to see a similar video on how you do your shading, it's so beautiful 🤩

I’d probs add luna moths or butterflies all around or just in the background
Learned this shit back in elementary school
ОтветитьDo you seal your artwork with a varnish ?
ОтветитьDon't look at the line as you paint. Look at the place you want your line to stop.
ОтветитьSwinging in a bit late, but I’d love to throw my hat in the ring for the collab piece! My work is full of intensely colorful and psychedelic designs that I think would complement TenHun’s work a lot!

Hey ten hundred, I'm a huge fan of your channel and your art style. I own some of your shirts and I love wearing them as much as possible. They always make me feel awesome and creative.
I recently found out that I have ASD and ADHD, and that has helped me understand myself better and overcome some of the challenges I face. One of them is being able to comment on your videos, which I always wanted to do but never felt confident enough. Well, today is the day I break that barrier and express my appreciation for your work.
You are such an inspiration to me and many others, and I'm so excited that you are doing a collaboration with your followers. I would absolutely love to be involved, but I have no painting skills and I always thought I couldn't do anything with art. But after watching this video, you have given me the courage and the motivation to try something new and have fun with it. You make art look so easy and enjoyable, and I want to experience that too.
So, thank you for being awesome and for sharing your talent and passion with us. You are the best and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Keep up the amazing work and stay awesome!
I am a retired high art teacher and loved your video. You shared all the things I would share with my students. Great job!
ОтветитьHi i am in Reed City
ОтветитьGreat tutorial! I would add some yellow/orange coral tube hair 😄 IN devonRex4Art

ОтветитьWhat a great find! I've been painting for about 3 years now and I dread having to detail foliage and create good lines and this video has so many great tips too. Next on my list is a proper set of liner brushes. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you, i have been having problems with my circle lines so it was timely to find you. Tutorials have been my on line school, to bring my art up another notch. Thank you for being there
ОтветитьThanks for the tutorial I have the same issue with my sculptures I resort to permanent markers
ОтветитьThanks! I always appreciate these kinds of videos. One technique. Straight forward tips. Practical application.
How's the snow in your area?
Thanks for the tip! What about cleaning these brushes? And how long do they usually last before you have to change them out?
ОтветитьFun info: liner brushes are actually called riggers. That’s because they were used to paint the rigging on oil paintings. You’re welcome :D
ОтветитьHow did the India ink not just me or off when you used to use that? There’s no way that you can put ink over the top of acrylic… right?
ОтветитьI use airbrush medium to thin out my paints. Maintains the integrity of the acrylic paint no matter how much you thin it out.
ОтветитьNice Art, The information is priceless, thank you!
ОтветитьThe difference between expensive and cheap brushes for this application is amount of liquid it can hold. Personally I prefer a dryer brush, but if you're doing lining, you might just want a kolinsky or squirrel rigging brush. You'll not need to get more paint for a long while.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video, I'm new to painting and struggle with painting lines, and never seemed to get the right consistency of paint. Your tutorial was very helpful and informative, I want to go give it a try now!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this!!!!
ОтветитьThis is well done and relatable — the little tips you mention are great. Thank you — very helpful and well dine!
ОтветитьAlways PULL a brush.. never push it… I know that is how you were painting… but you need to remind people that pulling is what brings out the smooth lines.

ОтветитьSuper appreciate the level of detail of this tutorial! I feel like a lot of art videos and tutorials don't get this technical and specific. I feel like a lot of artists might just say "pick up the paint with your brush", but there were a lot of steps before and during that part that you really thoroughly explained. I have been slowly learning some of these things intuitively through my own journey as an artist with acrylic paints, but it was super helpful to watch you explain it all and go over all the reasoning behind each decision.
ОтветитьBravo, brother. Thank you.
ОтветитьI love that you're a professional artist that doesn't feel the need to use the most expensive brushes. It makes art more approachable for viewers. Although the Golden paint you love is a bit out of my price range.

ОтветитьEye think we and a rePeating pattern and finally do a Pete and rePEat collab and will add it to the collaboration project! Eye collabed with over 100 last year creating 230+ works collectively.
ОтветитьLove this. It's really cool to see and share techniques. I've done some hotrod pin striping in the passed and I think because of it, I prefer to have my forearm stable and my hand floating, which is like—polar opposite of you. It's really facinating and goes to show that you just gotta get your feet wet and start experiementing!
ОтветитьBeen a little while since I've jumped back in to see see a TenHun video. Checking this one out, and I'm really liking the format and how you're walking/talking through and showing the process. Very good. Love it.
ОтветитьSuper important not to over-water acrylic paint. Good rule of thumb is not more than 20% water. The chemical structure needs to be a certain consistency for the polymers to bond. Otherwise, it can wash or flake off. If you want it thin, add medium, not water. Especially important when laying down a key color so your whole painting doesn't peel off.
ОтветитьThis video was very insightful and helpful! I've been doing all my acrylic lines with either molotow or posca markers and I really want to try and master using a brush as well! If you'd give me this awesome painting to collab on I'd make a video on how I'd add my adorable and grotesque creatures to this piece and make it feel like multiple beings in one. My comment keeps being auto deleted so my info is allicsirpart
ОтветитьThis was very helpful!! :)..
Nice video as always.
I also use liner brushes, seems to be the best way to get long clean lines.
I would love to collaborate and add some of my creatures to that painting or a fuzzy sweater / hoodie or maybe both =)
