I haven’t seen the lyrics version of this video before today. I was surprised when they—and the way Nina sings them of course—choked me up. It’s International women’s day today. Nina, presente!

I come here to listen to this song at least five or six times a month. I think I have it going through my head a couple of days a week.
When I first heard it, I played it constantly for weeks and weeks. This is one of the greatest songs ever written and I will love it forever.
So much about Nina Simone is just phenomenal, and I love her for all of it. 💜💜💜
