What’s type of synth/sound called on your intro?
ОтветитьVan Halen’s Jump used a Oberheim OB-Xa, Final Europe’s Final Countdown used a Yamaha TX 816 Rack unit and a Roland Jupiter JX-8P. The Yamaha DX7 was used in various songs of the 80s.
Ответитьthat DX7 speaks to my soul haha great video!
ОтветитьGuys, the intro sound's name is 'Orchestra hit'. Salute me.
Ответитьwhats the sound of intro of the video
ОтветитьWhat is that sound called in the very intro of the video? Been looking for it for ages lol
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the sound that you're playing right at the beginning of this video? 😅
Ответить💯
ОтветитьThis video was so soothing
Ответитьwhat is the sound in the opening of the video!?
ОтветитьWhat about won’t get fool again by the who
ОтветитьWhat is the sound form intro?
ОтветитьGreat compilation!
ОтветитьТак и не дождался KORG M1. Показали другой синт.☝️☝️☝️
ОтветитьNice Werk, Kraft! 😆
ОтветитьSome great sounds to take us all back to better days. Love your presentation and explanation of each sound. Wow, you could not be more German if you were eating a brat and drinking a beer. I love it.
ОтветитьYou had me at Fletch!
ОтветитьThat shakuhashi sound was also on Wake Up Stop Dreaming by Wang Chung.
ОтветитьI think the orchestral hit from the Fairlight CMI deserves a place on the list - (what was the name, "orch2"?) - it was ubiquitous, more so than the Shakuhachi flute, and it is instantly recognisable.
ОтветитьWhat's the Synth from the intro?!? I'm desperate
ОтветитьGreat Video
Ответитьi wish this was more about actual synth patches and not sampled sounds that are iconic but still a great video
ОтветитьDon't forget the iconic sawtooth, square and sine wave synth lead sounds. Those are definitely the ones that define the 80's decade.
ОтветитьThe “sync” sound from Roland’s JX-8P I’m pretty sure was sampled by Korg on the Korg N364 and they named it “busy boy”. I played in a Mexican band in the late 90s and early 2000s. And I used that Korg N364 and the sound “busy boy” for many sonidero songs!!!
ОтветитьVery subjective
Ответить1990's without 'Shakuashi' sound would had jumped direct to the 2000's 😊
ОтветитьEspen Man, I love all those synths just as you ! (We have to be the ~ same age...) Having a lot of them allready, I think I'll convert myself to a Polygamic religion as I need to maried to few more 😉🙃
ОтветитьTop show, congratulations fron Brasil
ОтветитьDX7 sounds, alot them very clean and almost perfect.....but that tubular bells sound gets you 'hooked'! Harmonically superb.
ОтветитьAcid bass all the way. Just off to listen to Xena now!
Ответитьhands down, to me, the Yamaha DX-7 chorused piano was the most notable....as you said, Espen, it was used in SO many of those classic 80s songs.....
ОтветитьWhats the first intro effect?
ОтветитьWhat is the watch you got on your hand?
Ответитьthe electric piano is the sound of a white man lowering himself. i cant stand hearing it anymore.
ОтветитьWhat is the one during the intro called?
Ответитьwhat is the name of the one at the beginning of the intro?
ОтветитьI wish there was a video that just had someone pressing one key per preset so that Casio owners can sample tones so we can sound as good as your Roland. Do you know anywhere that has just notes like that? Maybe there's a CD-ROM or something like that out there?
ОтветитьArt of noise!
ОтветитьThe moral of the story is, there is the DX-7, and then there's everything else.
ОтветитьThe first sound is the Moral Kombat sound.
ОтветитьSync sound wins. Should have been used even more.
Ответитьwhat was the sound at the start called?
Ответитьhi Espen,as always awesome tutorials and demos! may i ask what app clones voice to english accent? cheers! 🎙📡🎛
ОтветитьWhat was the sound in the beginning of the video??
ОтветитьThe specific synth-brass sound in Jump was from an Oberheim OB-Xa. It and its direct predecessor, the OB-X, were quite nice sounding instruments, with a nice growl when played hard and loud. The OB-X and its unique sound made Rush's Signals (1982) an album to be reckoned with.
They are kinda hard to get last I checked (shame, they're probably my favorite synth), so the Jupiter-8 was a great stand-in for synth brass, and doesn't sound too dissimilar.
Also that DX-7 tubular bells patch sounds really nice on its own.
