This mechanics and game at all still looks good. ^^. Just good gameplay , funny how nowadays games still can't handle basics. PS. Graphic looks good too , especially i just like pixel art. :)

Its always a bit of a shock on how difficult it is to micro units in these games compared to modern RTS. The upside is the AI can't cheat to win.

Years ago, the crowd asked them at Blizzard wether they're planning to remaster Warcraft 1 and 2? The answer was a no, because they too love these games, but they doubt they could gain a player base (ie no profit).

Omg I remember watching my Uncle play this when I was little. He eventually turned the sound off because it started to annoy my Aunt. My cousin's and I started saying "yes my lord" to everything, annoying her even more 😆

Now I know why the attack speed of the archers/axethrowers in WC2 is so awful.

This was one of my first games, i remember playing it on my first pc, a 486dx2 over 20 years ago

From what i remember as a kid nothing could have beat the wall of 8 archers. So I moved that unbeatable unit across the map pixel by pixel XD

Pretty nuts to think we went from this (1994) to World of Warcraft (2004) in 10 years.

omg by about the 40th completely unnessescary "yes my lord" I was out.

Fun fact: in the original CD/Floppy versions of the game, the Human campaign was impossible to beat without cheat codes. Somewhere around mission 6, a task requiring you to free your peasants first in order to build an army, would initiate an all-out attack from the Orc stronghold, that you had no chance of defeating.

Back at this time the only way to get patch versions of games was to:

A) have an internet connection, and in 1994 & 1995 that was a not a common thing, likely less than 5-8% of USA households.

B) Know what a 'patch' was, that it even existed, where to go to get it, and the what, why & how to install it! 🤣

Suffice it to say that if you were a kid playing this game without help from a grown-up who knew about the internet, you were never going to beat the Human campaign without cheat codes, using the original version.

The Humans never even stood a chance. 😈
