ОтветитьI am only 15 years old, but I am preparing for TOEFL for the university of my choice, no matter what fate scares me, I will continue to study.
ОтветитьHi Josh, I'm here to express my sincere gratitude for all your great videos. I started preparing for TOEFL only after finishing my IELTS exam at the end of September, and a teacher from a study abroad agency told me that it was impossible to get a 110+ score within such a short time. However, unexpectedly, with the help of your videos, I made it! I just found out that I scored 117 (R: 30, L: 30, S: 29, W: 28). My advice for those who are preparing to take TOEFL would be to follow the guidance of Josh's videos, practice as much as possible, and above all, believe in yourself.💪
Ответитьhello, does the emergency course works for toefl ibt? (:
ОтветитьI took the TOEFL test and scored well. I didn't like the photo taken then, can I change it now? If yes then how can I change it . thank you
ОтветитьI prepared for 4 days, only with your videos, and got a 118 (R:29, L:30, S:30, W:29). Thank you so much Josh!
Some tips for new test-takers:
0. Watch (almost) all TST videos. They are more than great. This is your bread and butter for TOEFL.
1. Practice a lot and use real test conditions. So, set timers, use practice tests, and practice in ways that are given in the test (i.e. test speaking with all 4 in order). I think this makes it easier on test day since you know exactly what you can expect.
2. Watch the time. Make sure you know how far you should be along at a certain time. This will prevent panic due to time constraints.
3. Never think about the last section in the test. Concentrate on the current section, the rest doesn't matter.
4. Do not get distracted. Twice I was distracted by someone who had a technical issue. Both times cost me minutes in writing and reading. I think both times lost me points (it doesn't matter with a 118 but I stressed about it in the test).
5. At least once, do a practice test from start to finish with no break and stick to all time constraints. This will teach you how exhausting the test is and you can experience the whole thing from start to finish. In my group, someone thought he had a break after reading, went to the toilet, and missed half of the first listening (because it starts automatically).
6. Find what works for you. My first practice test was a 105. I took many notes, learned a lot of templates and thought this is the only way. After that, I tried a few different strategies such as no notes at all and no templates. Personally, I took some notes but mostly really tried to listen. I also only used a template for the first sentence of speaking and writing. I found that a known start with a sentence is very helpful but too many templates felt unnatural and made me worse. Find your balance and strategy (by practicing).
7. Don't stress about it. In the end, it is "just" an English test and you have multiple tries (cost aside). If you get a bad score, I think focusing on improving your English should be the main focus, not improving the TOEFL score. If you only miss a few points, focus on improving the TOEFL score (by doing everything you did but a little more).
Hope I can help at least someone. Have a good day and enjoy the learning process :)
Hi 👋 dear!
Your guidance is really precious and I am sure it will help me to get a good score on November 18th.
Thank you so much Josh for all your videos on Toefl Prep, I literally just practiced and prepared for 10-12 days and passed the exam. I was so surprised when I got 27/30 in speaking section. And all I did was practiced exactly as per this video along with all other speaking videos you posted. Please keep doing this amazing work!!!
ОтветитьIs the unofficial scores for reading and listening scored over 30
Also, will the unofficial scores be the same with the official scores over 30

Hello, please I just need to get something clear.
In the speaking section; where they say, you may begin reading now; are we suppose to read the text out loud to the microphone?

I highly recommend the TST Emergency Course. It was great. I scored 100 on my exam!!!
I could have done better in the listening section, but I got so distracted in the Test Center. I might also recommend that future test takers do the TOEFL iBT Home Edition.
Hi Josh. I’ll like to thank you so much for your content. I’ve been preparing for the TOEFL with your materials and I’ve achieved a score of 105 (R-29, L-21, S-26, W-29). Finally, my dreams of becoming a Pharmacist in the United States are happening.

Hello guys. I would like to ask a question. I just got my TOEFL IBT score of 77 but my university program requires for a 80. I have already paid the tuiton fee completed my enrollment but I did get trough from harsh time. Which shouldnt be considered as a excuse. My deadline day is coming in about 20 days, is there any chance there that I could get in. I have already past math exam ext. Thank you sincerely..
ОтветитьThank you for informing but i am bit nervous because i am not good at speaking and also in reading but trying every day 😢
ОтветитьHi josh, can the teofl ibt be accepted in Australia or new zealand for study and work purposes?
ОтветитьJust did this speaking part and i`m sooo scared of the exam (of the speaking part, to be exact). Guys, i have 6-7 months left before taking the test, is it possible to prepare perfectly for the TOEFL during this period?
ОтветитьHello, im from South korea can you help me to score my speaking record?
Ответить아 시발 스피킹 존나 어렵네
ОтветитьJust got my report and I ended up scoring 107/120 I’m so happy rn 😭
ОтветитьJosh, thank you so much for all the practice lessons you and your team have been publishing in the recent year. I am having my TOEFL tomorrow and I am scared about the time primarily and that there will be some words in questions that I don't know. Will write here my score after I get it. Wish me a good luck!
ОтветитьThe only thing that is spooking me is english speaking. I understand english well but i can't speak , whenever I decide to speak I start pondering 😢
Ответитьjosh ,is each section in the test still out of 30 ? have they. changed there score ranges for advanced , high inter . etc ..or are they still the same ?
ОтветитьHi Josh, I have a question about the speaking section. Is the speech time 45/60 seconds a strict limit or is it also allowed, for example, to speak 62 seconds when 60 seconds is required?
ОтветитьHey Josh, just wanted to say thank you for all your help. Gave my TOELFS today and there is no way I could have managed as well as I did without your videos. It made a big difference, very much appreciated.
Edit: got my scores 111/120. I was most worried about the speaking section but somehow got full in that. All thanks to you TST Prep. I'm over the moon!
I will take toefl exam in 1 hour. Wish me luck
ОтветитьHi Josh, I want to thank you very much for your videos. They are very important to me for the exam preparation. I have a question about the official practice tests: is it possible that the score given by the AI is more severe than the real score given by the proctors at the exam? Thanks in advance for anyone who will help me.
