How long will it last in jars?
ОтветитьWatching you cut tomatoes scares the hell out of me. You really need to do a couple videos in knife skills 😉
ОтветитьThere is still a lot of moisture in those. If the “powder” clumps, it’s not fully dehydrated. I usually take it one step further. Grind it up, then throw it back into the dehydrator. Moisture in food breeds bacteria!
ОтветитьI do this as well however, I love my canned tomatoes for the ease
ОтветитьI just ordered my dehydrator yesterday. I cannot wait to get some of these done!
ОтветитьI am wondering how much energy it will take per weight! . . anybody know about it?
ОтветитьMy tomato powder doesn't rehydrate very well. It says lumpy. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьCan this be done by mixing yellow and red tomatoes
ОтветитьThat is amazing.
ОтветитьThank you. I never knew 😮
ОтветитьI am so glad you came back on my site. You disappeared for a very long time and your videos are so informative. Thank you for sharing.
Ответить2nd time - I thought i would be able to grind the toms to a powder - my blender didn't do it so i tried the grinder and they came out like rubbery bits so I have put some in a jar and some tin a bag to place in the freezer - what do you think - I would really love to get a powder. Also, they stick a lot on my metal shelves - so I have had to measure parchment for each shelf for the 3rd batch - oh the troubles of domestics!
ОтветитьCould you dehydrate frozen tomatoes
ОтветитьThe dehydrator did not quite finish the job the first time i used it - so i left them out in the sun today!
ОтветитьLove this idea!!
ОтветитьYou need a freeze dryer. Dehydrating only preserves about 50% of nutrients. Freeze drying is over 90 :) I do this with our freeze dryer and agree - powder is amazing.
ОтветитьI also froze whole tomatoes, then added them to soups and stews.
ОтветитьI use an old child's paintbrush to get the powder from the sides and lid of my blender so that you don't waste a bit
ОтветитьWonder if those flies go in there 😅
ОтветитьThe tomato stuck on the side of the blender was obviously had too much moisture. I would’ve dehydrated the powder for a while.
