is this the 55 version or the 50?
ОтветитьI have an audi s4 avant , my car is always parked outside and, in winter, sometimes we get a kind of freeze where i can barely get my car door open in the morning; I wonder how the charge port cover will do, almost like I hope there is some heating element to keep it from freezing shut?
Ответить144 miles. Lol😢
ОтветитьWhere’s the winter jumper from? 🙂
ОтветитьIs there any function showing us the coming chargers on the road? Like I heard some from Tesla do! Thank you
ОтветитьExcellent review. How much do you pay for a full charge in Europe ?
ОтветитьWhat e tron model ?
Ответитьdoes it have neutral, go Flintstones style
ОтветитьThanks Kris for this test just what i needed to see, as i often drive the same road that you did the test on and at the same speed, so for me a perfect test 🙂👍. As i’m getting a dog i have started to look into the e-tron and it seem’s to be the correct car until something more efficient comes on the market (in that size). Har to let my Polestar PP go, but let’s hope Polestar 3 will have a bigger trunk 🤪
ОтветитьWhich EV is the best for cold climates though? I want EV options to recommend to people in cold climates!
ОтветитьGreat video and much thanks for doing the stats..I just did a quick look review on a friends 2021 Audi e-Tron Sportback and was very impressed with it and the charging curve both Audi and Porsche have engineered into their vehicles. Real world in winter is the worst case scenario so to get 230kms at all highway speeds in -10C temps IMO, is pretty good. To be honest my 2020 Tesla Model 3 LR does not do too much better than that in reality. Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьBMW phev gets 6.7l per 100km (at -30 degrees Celsius) with 13kwh battery & 550km range.
ОтветитьMy favorite thing was the dashboard said “confronting Nate”, I’m thinking that your car knows you are going to do an intervention on a friend? (I’m sure it makes sense in norwegian)
ОтветитьPetrol wins💪
ОтветитьI cant play the audio of the video but i dont understand why some people are disliking the etron? Is there something wrong? I know batteries drop a bit in the winter but does it take extra time to charge? Anyways i barely go in trips in the winter so im completely fine with not a lot of battwry since i drive in the city
ОтветитьPark side way next time when charging 😊
ОтветитьNice video, thank you. Relating to the highest “structure” in the world, it’s radio station in Gliwice, Poland. It’s 111m. Mjøsa is the highest “building” 😎😉
ОтветитьThis etron is shit 36kwh/100km is Crazy with 100km/h
ОтветитьWhat did you have the climate control on at?
ОтветитьGood info, as I am purchasing an E-tron next week.
Ответить@Kris: I would really apreciate if you do the same kind of charging test with the e-tron 50. Even if the difference in charging speed between the 50 and the 55 is not so extremely significant in summer temperatures, it seems like the 50 does not have the same ability to get the same increasing of speed during the charging session in cold weather as the 55 has.
Ответить230 km max range in normal winter conditions in Norway...? 🥶🤐
ОтветитьThis car seem like an expensive test that Audi sold. Tesla made it's battery tech available to companies but ego got in the way.
ОтветитьGolden advice: if you need to creep towards the charger, always use eco drive setting. This changes the sensitivity of the accelerator. I always change when i need to manœuvre on tight places
ОтветитьDo you use comfortheating to get the cabin warm, before connecting to a charger ? Seems there's no way to heat up the battery when standing out overnight; a preheated battery will load faster.
Ответитьreally unfortunate accident. Had also one : my antenna was pulled out when a garage door shut whilst I was driving in.
ОтветитьIt’s my understanding you can turn on a creep function on the E-tron it’s just off by default
ОтветитьKris, very sorry to hit your eTron, just know one of the very first thing we did was enable Auto-Hold .. this way the call does not rollback when you let off the brakes, and moving off auto-hold slowly is very easy .. best of luck ..
Great 👍 content as always .. keep them coming..
Volvo x 90 test
ОтветитьHi Kris. You were unlucky with the car in the beginning. I live in Gudbrandsdalen the place is Vinstra today 6 January we have minus 22 degrees Celsius. I got my new electric car December 4 Volvo XC40 Recharge P8. It uses a lot of electricity now in minus 20 degrees Celsius. It will be a few more days with freezing cold.
ОтветитьOuch that damage bumper hurts. It's a good thing you don't keep your cars too long :)
ОтветитьYes Kris; do a few more of these. We are in MN, and once we get this Model Y (thanks for responding on that yesterday!), this information will be very helpful. Have a great day!
ОтветитьAnd I thought 30kWh with my MX would be much 😂
ОтветитьDude, our BEV has charge port in same location. If there is nobody around, we park perpendicular to the parking space lines to get close without so much cable strain. But usually we are only ones at site.
ОтветитьMy E tron is not working well with my slow charging port at home when the temperature dropped to -15 degrees here.
ОтветитьSo how much range, percentage wise, do you lose? Sorry about your bumper! Wow that sucks. They should cover those steel barriers with a firm foam of some sort.
ОтветитьIs this E-tron 55? You should always write E-tron 55 in the video title instead of only E-tron.
ОтветитьAnother great video Kris. Wow this is the first time I see an E-tron parked properly in front of 1 charger and not in the middle of two chargers...So annoying for the rest of ev drivers here in Norway... I hope Audi places the charging port differently in future models. It will benefit all of us , Audi and non Audi drivers. Godt nyttår!
ОтветитьNo front camera?
ОтветитьThe 🚘charging port should be at the back like ID3. So its more near the end of the🚘
Not a good solution from audi imo.
Hard driving to heat up the battery doesn't seem to have any effect on E-Tron from my testing using Obdeleven to monitor battery temperature. Regarding the claim that E-tron will only actively heat the battery if it is below -10 deg. C, I would guess that is battery temperature, not ambient temperature. AFAIK the source of this claim is an official VAG/Audi self study program manual/PDF for employees/staff. It would be nice to have known your battery temperatures on that Ionity charge session.
ОтветитьKris Rifa what you pay at ionity ?
ОтветитьSad to see your car damaged :(
But I don't understand why.. You're standing there alone, with that horrible chargeport location, why do you park in the lines? Park a little off-set or at an angle will give you a lot more cable to work with, or you don't have to park that close..
Yeah, same problems in germany too. I often park like a true a..hole to come as close to the cable as possible. My chargeport was recently changed due to a recall, but the problem persists, so we stand in Rain, Ice and Snow besides our cars and hold a cable. Somewhat ridiculous but it is as it is.
ОтветитьBroken front; 2020 is serving some bonus tracks
ОтветитьYou have the extra heater in your etron? Would love to understand if this is only improving the speed of heating up or also helps with the consumption.
ОтветитьI feel for you bro!!! I would be so upset if that happened to my E Tron (the damage, I don't have an Etron, wish I did :-P). I'm surprised they don't have a creep function. Wonder if they could add one in via a software update. Speaking of which, have you had any updates since you've had the car via OTA or by going back to the dealership?
ОтветитьCan you do the same test at 90 km/t ?
34 KWh/100 km is at 110-120 km/t
You were doing 124 km/t at one point.
