U got a lot more to explore in goa! It's not just about beaches you will be amazed with the hidden beauty of goa! Like canguinim, Cabo de rama! You need almost 1 week to explore the entire goa!

planning a trip next March, how is the water quality for swimming in Palolem and Patnem? I know the clarity isn't the best but I heard bacteria levels can be high for swimming... but in parts of that coastline so it's a bit concerning

It feels like India because it is India and it was part of India before Portuguese came. It was Portuguese who invaded Goa not Indians. India just reclaimed it.

India street is not so clean compare to China street

Lived in chapora goa for I month (two in total India) back in 2004 it was nice and cheap. 1,2 euro for my small apartment (hut) 1,1euro for a bike and 1 euro for breakfast (coffee, orange juice, sandwich with cheese tomato and fried egg) happy times.

im so old. when i went there it was just a deserted beach.

way too expensive for backpackers who want to stay the entire winter season, there are far better and cheaper area's

Palolom. My memory's are about 30 years ago there. Nothing there, basic room pig loos, and a crazy German GF.. I mean that in a positive way. Very rural and quiet. The Goa escape

India has become pricey esp hotel wise. I remember you could get a 5 star hotel for $20/night not that long ago.
