So...i found that in that in a war that chinese united front won won communist china took all of nationalist territory. I haven't managed to replicate it yet while playing mao annoyingly (mainly because without la resistance italy rollsover africa qnd germany capitulates russia, so the sino-japanese war never ends as the usa never goes all out vs japan 🙄) so i don't know whether it's a standard bug or just a one-off.

Also the infiltration mechanics are broken. It costs 500 guns plus 25pp for each level of infiltration, but 500 guns plus 25pp clears 2 levels of infiltration. And you can only do 1 province at a time. The only time you can build up levels is when that side's having its arse kicked, but as soon as the tide turns the infiltrator loses rverything they've built up super quick (no I'm not bitter about 5 in game years wated, you're bitter... 🙄) basically the mechanic as it stands is a huge waste of time.
