How can you mix "most sold" songs and "billboard", what is the proportion? i think it's so weird and that's why there's no MJ or Queen for example. The mix must be nonsense.

Dancing Queen with ABBA was a superhit all over the world 1976. Olivia Newton Johns "Physical" must be the most ovverated song ever....🤢

That's weird and surprising. The Beatles dominated the charts for more than 10 years straight. I'm also surprised not to see Madonna in the 80's, more Elvis in the '50s, and especially in the 60's, and '60s John's only song on this list is Candle in the Wind and NOT Yours? How about Britney? There is no WAY that her Baby One More Time was her only most-sold song of the year. Where is Ops.., Stronger, I'm Slave 4u, Toxic? What a crap list was that? And even Taylor Swift over the last few years where is she?

Things were not getting better you are bias to modern music, like language, music changes it appeal is to the generation it was sung and understood by them. They would not appreciate our music today. I believe you lack objectivity.

1977 is so wrong. It should've been Debby Boon's "You Light Up My Life" which had stayed at number 1 for 10 weeks. Not only was it number 1 for the year 1977, it was also included in 1978's year end survey, coming in at number 3 since it overlapped 2 different yearly survey periods. Nearly taking the top spot for the year 2 years in a row!

Wow Bing Crosby 1942 White Chtistmas? This means that people went crazy for this song once they heard it on the radio. It was like that Christmas movie with Arnold Swazernegger (probably spelled it wrong for the 3,937th time). That song stood the test of time. Still a popular Christmas song. Outsold the 1942 song in just 2 months that was cool to play it. WOW

With all due respect, you need to understand the difference between jazz and swing. Also, a lot of the music from the 1920s through the 1940s compromise The Great American Songbook. Almost all of those songs have been covered by dozens and in so many different styles. Naturally, it's futile to pinpoint a decade's style from ten songs alone.

2011 was rolling in the deep by Adele, not we found love by Rihanna, it's old more than we found love and is even the 39th best performing song in. Billboards history and it was the best performing song overall of 2011, so I wrong for sure

I think in general music really went down hill from 2010 . I would rather listen to music from the 1920’s than the 2020’s . Don’t even get me started on bloody Ed Sheeran ! 👎🏻

I’m watching this a year later besides not having any Michael Jackson or Mariah Carey as mentioned by others. I don’t know if he listened to the whole song because ‘Begin the Beguine’, ‘Blue Tango’, ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’, ‘Sweet Georgia Brown’, and ‘Moulin Rouge’ are actual songs with lyrics not just instrumentals. Alston in the cases of ‘Begin the Beguine’, ‘Blue Tango’ and ‘Moulin Rouge’ they were international hits in different languages. Growing up in New York City I heard my friends grandmothers play French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, version of those songs besides hearing them in English.

When you say Ganster Paradise doesn't sound like the 80s, you were correct. It sounds like 1976, because it's from Stevie Wonder, Pastime Paradise.

The 80's, birth of the Electronic Age. That's where these reverbs and stuff blew in their faces.
The 90's are the more evolutionized Pop Music of the late 80's.
The Year 2000 are the gateways of RAP Music & Modern R&b's.
