Kevin Smith want make an animated series with Lea Thompson voiced Beverly again, but for now it's scrapped! For the record also Chip Zien voiced Howard again too, for me, not Seth Green or Tony Anselmo!

I don't think this was a kids movie. It just looked like it could be. I believe Howard was voiced by the same person who did Chucky.

Honestly the only impressive thing about this movie is that it unintentionally led to Lea Thompson meeting her husband.

This movie is just super inconsistent, you have things like swearing, duck tits and sex jokes but at the same time you have things like bad duck puns and Tim Robbins giving a performance right out of something like Blues Clues, it’s like someone went and smashed Deadpool and the 90’s X-Men cartoon together

So basically if there was no Howard the Duck movie there's no Pixar

It's not that bad. Enjoyed it as a kid and just watched it today and enjoyed it. It's not poorly lit and the special effects are amazing

I’m sorry but in the Movie wasn’t Duckworld another Planet in our Universe and not an alternate Dimension. Those are 2 different things.

I actually really loved this movie when I was a kid, Can honestly say I haven't seen it in a long time though. But I still Loved the Overlord Monster at the end of the Movie too.

If this version of Howard The Duck isn't in Secret Wars Marvel is dumb.

Children often love films like these. Having a small adult character save the day from monsters with a little romance. Gives the kids a protagonist they can identify with, as it basically is a child who get taken seriously and have respect from other adults. Gives them some food for thought on the growing hormones they don't quite understand yet. And give them a power fantasy of fighting something that even adults find scary. Is why characters like Super Mario, Sonic, Donald, Luffy, and many others hit that sweet spot between being both a "Adult", but also having strong child like personality traits.

I liked this film as a child, but I can see that I would probably hated it if introduced to it as an adult.

the interesting thing is, Lucas never wanted his name to be attached to this.

Not in the "oh this movie sucks" kinda way but more of the "I want this movie to stand on its own" kinda way. He apparently silently produced many films which were directed by friends of his.

Sadly the advertising for the film went haywire and kept pushing "PRODUCED BY GEORGE LUCAS!" everywhere hence why people still think he had a lot of input for this film. Fun fact: he only barely visited the set of the film. Only went a total 3 days of the whole filming time

Saying that clone wars was bad aged about as fine as spoiled milk
