How to Enable events on Single player & Nitrado server in Ark Survival Evolved on PC, PS4 & Xbox

Please Read, IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Recently spoke to one of the developers at wildcard who was kind enough to inform me of how the events system now works, when there is no official event running.


Here is what they had to say.

So that only works when we have the event files on the clients/servers. For example, when we do the valentines* patch, it might only run for 2 weeks on our official servers but we might not patch them out of clients/servers for like 3/4 weeks. So unofficial servers could theoretically run them longer until we take em out and the reason, we can't keep them in the files permanently is because of the memory overhead on clients.

So, for method 1 that means if you are unable to enable an event the above explanation is why. For method 2 & 3 you will still be able to enable the event however the majority of the features such as crafting event items won't be accessible.

Please keep in mind if you are on Primitive Plus, all events are disabled as it is not supported.

My server is stuck In ark birthday I have deleted the game and reinstalled and still it won't properly update

I'm trying to activate the vday event but every time i check the cook pot theres no event skins option...

damn fear evolved is the best sucks it doesn't work and that we didn't even have one in 2022

Thanks man! I see in the video only some work, and that in a comment none will work passed a certain date. Does this mean that in order to get an event to be active on Xbox, I would need to manually activate it from a PC?

Does Extra life work, if so what do I put in the box?

Would you happen to know how to enable the 7th Anniversary/Pride event in singleplayer? I've tried "Birthday", "Anniversary", "ark7th" and none of these are giving me rainbow coloured dinos after multiple dino wipes and extensive searching. "Anniversary" did enable the craftables in the cooking pot, but I suspect it's an older event seeing as there were no special dino colours. I've also tried the launch parameters version as well with no luck.

are ther mod that can fix Disabled events?

You need to wonder, why did they disable some events? It's like people aren't allowed to have fun anymore lol 😂

How you do this on ps4 and ps5? I am trying to find that out as I can't get it to work

So, I have a question. The currently running Easter event is not running on my single player. If it is currently running, it's not disabled. Method 1 is not working for me. I will try method 2 after I write this. I already tried to input that line of code in the command console in-game as i had read it somewhere and that didnt work. Maybe adding it to my launch options does work. But if not... I dont know what to do. The colors have been appearing since like 2 weeks before the event started. But I still cant find bunny dodos, eggs, or craft anything for the event.

EDIT: still doesnt work. I changed -nohmd into -nohmd, -activeevent=easter and now even the nohmd parameter gets ignored.

Can you get the dodo Rex for the turkey trials or will it be gone

I wish they would work on the active event more I love collecting chibis and drops. But most of them don't work at all or the game is buggy. I typed in summer and followed all the steps and Christmas stuff shows up but only the crafting stuff. No colors or anything. I guess console players just get so suffer when they want some extra fun or color in ark because the events add so much more to do and see. It's been a year since this feature has been released and a lot of people want it but no work has been put into it since release

Thank you so so much for this video. Me and my friend are playing on a nitrado server we rent for just the two of us and missed the valentines event since we didn't realize it was so short. We genuinely just want the colors and your video was the very first I found explaining how the events work and clarifying that disabled ones still spawn the colors.

I'm on my Nitrado server so that being said do I miss out on the Valentines event completely or not? I want to partake in this event so badly, like I got the colors of the wild dinos to spawn in but I want all the rest of the event to work like chocolates, candy, chibi's

I actually never knew that ARK disabled Fear Evolved, I wanted to spawn the Dodo Wyvern :___( Also, I tried doing the summer event code and it didn't work

the fear evolved event is on right now automatically, i tried activating the winterwonderland but it didnt work, do i need to deactivate the fear evolved somehow?

when you enable event for single player, on PS4 if you do not see any event colors you might have to do as I did and use admin command "destroywilddinos" no quotes. Then give it a couple minutes to restock. if you do not see anything respawn go out of the area and come back. cheers!

When you said that only the summer event works, you meant "at the time of recording this vid only the summer event is active" correct?
Youre not saying all other event are broken, or half broken all year round, right?

Playing on steam. tried method 2 for Easter event, the recipes show up in the cookpot but I haven't seen any funky colored dinos at all...idk if im just super unlucky or if its bugged... :( Playing on the Crystal Isles map if that makes a difference.

Hi there currently playing on the Island map in single player on xbox the summer bash event stopped working a few days ago, I found your video tryed to do what you instructed but I just don't seem to be able to get it to work. Do I type in just Summer ?
I Tryed multiple different cooking pots all on, but to know avail any suggestions would be great. Thanks
