Gin should have taken the Hougyoku from Aizen when he had the chance. That would have been game over for Aizen even if he survived the assassination.

technically aizen and gin they never faced combat since they were only surprise attacks

I love the look in Gin's eyes when Aizen strikes him

Aizen is so powerful now, and Gin realizes this; yet even then, any fear Gin had toward Aizen would equate to a speck compared to the titanic mountain that is his hate

I honestly wish that this Arc ended with Aizen collapsing onto the ground with the story essentially saying that "nobody is the main character" by having all of that training done by Ichigo become meaningless in the end.

Perhaps the thousand-year blood war could have been wrapped up with Gin stepping up to the plate by sacrificing himself to become the Soul King to have the story promote the idea of Sacrifice with Ichigo becoming a captain because he's the next guy in line of promotions or because of seniority?

If the hogyoku didn’t reach to the far stage of identifying aizen as its owner this plan would’ve killed aizen

Funny.
If there is one personality trait I would ascribe to Gin, it would be "backstabber".
Yet, he only ever stabbed people in the front.

Aizen betrayed Gin Ichimaru for an arrancar that I never seen eye to eye before and I’m not feeling sorry just yet.

I always knew from the very beginning that Gin is up to something when he pull out his sword because of rangikou when he fought against toshiro.

So what happened to gin? Why did he suddenly gasp loud when aizen threw his arm up as he took the hogyoku? And why was a chunk of his arm missing?

Gin is the Itachi of Bleach.
