Switch and steam deck too big. Psvita size is just right not clumsy

The Steam Deck and Switch are obviously better. More powerful, etc etc. Bragging about a failed console is really not a flex.

Vita now has all gta games from the 3D universe including the first 2 god of wars. Thanks to the vita community for keeping it alive. Still better than the switch 💪🏾

Vita was the greatest handheld, then the steam deck came out. I use both to this day along with my expensive pc setup. But for handheld gaming portable pcs like the steam deck are king especially when it comes to emulation. For example, vita can’t emulate the PS2 but the steam deck can. More games can be played on it

People still think the wii u was another add on to the wii.. both were good systems with terrible support

The PS Vita was actually a nice handheld.
But it had the problems, that most of its games only came out in Japan and USA and that PS never really supported it and just used it to earn some money

The ps vita came out at the wrong time

the vita wasnt a new gen to psp. like ps1 and ps2. it was a ps1 slim to the psp.

To be fair you can buy and play Crisis Core on Vita

Wish we had big brands still making small handhelds. The switch and steam deck are giant compared to all the past stuff and emulation handhelds aren’t really the same.

The one thing that always kept me from being a real console gamer. The cost of games. People are out there these days comparing the price of the steam deck to a switch like you're not then paying 30-60£ for every single game on top of that. Like what? If you are purely a console gamer then to some degree that's manageable (although still very expensive) when you at least every couple of generations get some backwards compatibility. But as soon as you play on pc at all the math doesn't make sense anymore. If I want to play on PC and console then I have to buy the game twice. And then again if the next generation console decides to ditch backwards compatibility. And I still won't be able to play the same save on all of them. As a long time pc gamer that just always made consoles insanely expensive in comparison. Not to mention with how often you get sales on steam you really never have to pay full price for any game at all. And you don't have to run around with old ass physical copies like a lunatic.
I feel like that's one of the main things that keep the chism between pc and console so big. You really can't feasible enjoy both equally unless you're rich af.

Steam Deck made me stop giving a fuck about harboring original physical original copies. I had to accept we’re living in a digital world. A tough yet honest reality.

I've been debating getting a vita to go along with my PSP, besides the homebrew community, what's the advantage what games are the staple of the ps vita

I've never seen more than a dozen Vita games in person. Even when it was actively being supported by Sony and having games released I never saw more than a few titles at stores.
